Voting on laughing stock machines. Not so funny.

I'm pretty sure they pronounced it the way they did so as the gullible didn't get confused that it was a goof and not a real news story. It starts off pretty convincing. And it's too right on for me. What the hell are we going to do if they actualy get these machines in all over the country? It's just so sickening that the US, claiming to be the greatest democracy in the world, is allowing this to happen. God help us all.

They managed to steal the 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 elections, so what makes anyone believe they won't pull it off again? There hasn't been a single primary that didn't produce problems, irregularities, voter purges, or "technical glitches." The Dems dismiss this as not a problem--their candidates will win with such overwhelming numbers that any problems will be dwarfed by the results. Sounds like famous last words to me.

What a relief. I won't have to vote in twenty different precincts again.

Huh... Perhaps I missed something ... Was that some dry attempt of humor? Further more ... there is nothing funny about stealing elections.

Sometimes the Onion hits 'er closer than the 'real' news does, this is one case for sure, especially the M.I.C. counting the vote.
Weren't/aren't they (onion) out of the University of Wisc. Madison ?

Nevermind, good old Wiki comes through
The Onion was founded in 1988 and originally published in Madison, Wisconsin, by two juniors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Tim Keck and Christopher Johnson; they sold it to colleagues the following year. Prior to founding, The Onion was a four page spread of satirical news first printed in 1986 by undergraduate students in the University of Wisconsin-Madison's dormitory Tripp Hall.

I believe presently their main office is in the Chicago area, although they did have a small branch office in Madison when I was last there several years ago.
Yes, the Onion rules. As funny as Jon Stewart, but in a totally different flavor.

Oops sorry, I guess wiki said they're in New York now, I think the Chicago office thing I'm referring to was before that transition.
