I like this quote, because it backs up what Brad has been saying too:
What happened is that the Republican Party was running a massive campaign directed by Karl Rove and, we know, Tim Griffin, from the written emails, to block voters’ votes or to challenge their votes. One way to challenge voters was to say that they were stealing someone else’s identity. Someone is voting for Amy Goodman. Well, they say, the solution is to create ID cards. The problem is we can’t find anyone anywhere who has committed this crime of stealing Amy Goodman’s name to vote. People are not willing to go to jail to vote in some school board election or even for the presidency. What Griffin, Rove’s assistant, wanted Iglesias to do — they gave them 110 names. They wanted them, for example, to arrest some guy named, say, roughly, if I remember, like Juan Gonzalez, and say he voted twice, stealing someone’s ID. Well, in New Mexico there may be two guys named Juan Gonzalez. So Iglesias just thought this was absolute junk, absolute junk stuff, and he wouldn’t do it. So it’s all about trying to create a hysteria about fraudulent voting.
(Greg Palast, emphasis added).

They're saying that Iglesias was the guy portrayed in the movie, "A few good men"...is that true? They're not kidding? Iglesias was the attorney in that movie?

Let me be the first, to use a double negative. This is the best bad news I have ever heard. My only hope is that actions get taken, and also, like I said before, some security clearances get yanked, I think that really is important to cleanse out people that can not be trusted (Oath Breakers), that are running our government and country into the ground. Amy Goodman, and Greg Palast are top notch for bringing this up, I wonder when CMSM be forced to break this information?
And where are those emails, the rest of them? How long are you going to give these corrupt people to cleanse their computers?! Yank their damned security, and access now and if they can prove they didn't break their oaths, fine, re-instate them.
Stop the security hemorrhage already!!!

Is it true that, in Farsi, "Tony Snow" translates as "Tariq Aziz?"

I would like to know how Griffin managed to "earn" a Combat Action Badge and an Army Commendation Medal while over in Iraq for a few months as part of the Brigade Operational Law Team where he apparently processed property claims for Iraqi's whose stuff gets ruined by war.

To be honest? I'm amazed that I didn't see, until Greg Palast said it, that Iglesias was portrayed in that movie. No one in the media thought to mention that? You'd think that'd be mentioned in every story about Iglesias!

Man, the first of these videos was so badly shot I couldn't even get through it. Greg talking on the phone in profile, Greg's handwriting, greg talking from another angle, repeat, repeat repeat. Don't the folks at Democracy Now know how to shoot a news segment? Can't find an image of Inglesias or Rove or Domenici to insert? This this kind of reporting, no wonder the story isn't going anywhere.
Sorry, truth hurts.

Accepting the authenticity of the e-mails, this is the most important political story of the year. Why is it being ignored by CNN, MSNBC, Fox, CBS, ABC, and NBC? One suspects that they are AFRAID of the Bush-Rove machine. One hopes they are digging deeply into the story and are in a race to get it on the air.
SIDEBAR: Again, accepting the authenticity of the e-mails, WE NOW KNOW WHY BUSH MUST KEEP GONZALEZ IN PLACE. Any replacement would have to a first-rate professional who would soon find himself hip-deep in felonies originating at the highest levels of this government. Any pretense that George Bush "didn't know about it" could lead to impeachment on the grounds of GROSS NEGLIGENCE.
