Gosh, I just listened to a a track on one of my favorite record albums - it skipped in the middle so I played it again. It skipped in the same place so obviously it was meant to skip and nothing is wrong with it!
Brilliant Logic If I must say so myself!

It seems like a monumental task to do this decertification process in time for the 2006 elections. What good is something like "running the tapes" if you get the same wrong result? I got a bad feeling about this...

Greg Palast reports that the Bush Administration, under the guise of a secret War on Terror contract, hired ChoicePoint, Inc. to filch the voter & citizen files of Mexico.
These are the same characters (the Bushes & ChoicePoint) who helped purge Florida's voter rolls of African-Americans before the 2000 race.
Were the Mexican rolls "scrubbed" with Dubya's help?
And what exactly was the International Republican Institute, the imperial arm of the GOP, doing down there?
Shouldn't someone ask?
Greg says he will investigate this & report back.

John, the patent infringement case is quite interesting.
Most public contracts have "boilerplate" clauses in them which require the products to be free of patent infringement.
If the EVM's are not free from patent infringement it could be a breach of contract and the companies would be liable to the state or county for such a breach.
We have heard of voodoo economics, and now we seem to have voodoo election practices that put everyone at risk, including the counties who use EVM's.
Voodoo economics, voodoo voting machines, voodoo war, voodoo congress ... it really adds up to voodoo democracy.

Boy, am I embarrassed!
I've been wrong this whole time. The system works after all. See for yourselves.
First do a COUNT
Then do a RECOUNT
I was blinded by the conspiracy theorists!

Ya know, we've reached the point where ANY election using electronic voting machines that does NOT have problems will be headline news.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
The election warlords must be insane if they expect to charge hundreds of thousands of dollars for nothing. They run disfunctional machines once for free, if we want to see it again it costs $150,000 ???
Things are not the same:
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.
(Bob Dylan). In my generation we put the Attorney General in jail, the top aids of Nixon in jail, and force the president to resign.
Ok kids ... are you up to it? Even Bob Dylan has now made it to a broadway musical, when once the fascists had a jail for him (link here).
