Happy Birthday Brad!
Ever notice how many cool people are born in July?
(And I'm not just saying that because mine was the 10th)

Perhaps a "Brad Blog Promo Video" to show where it started and where it has arrived thus far - to highlight the many important issues that have been investigated?

Brad, in trying to find out more about Jimmy's Carter's statement that "“America does not have a functioning democracy at this point in time," I noticed that now OpedNews is doing the hovering donate box thing. , as has CommonDreams (if not today) and theNation: http://www.opednews.com/...ral_News-130719-906.html

I'd be happy to send a little birthday benefactor check to one of my core curriculum guys. And feel free to spent it however you like, Bradley My Good Fella. Take the Desirable Desi out dining in the finest fripperies and frapperies to a nice dinner if you both feel like celebrating even if it's only celebrating that you have an internet friend named Lasagna who wouldn't mind if you could find the time to eat on his dime out of honor, acknowledgement, and friendship if we can dare call it that though we never have actually met.
Whether finally breaking in Boston feeling a bit delirious.
love,
Dave

Weather that is....I sound drunk. Not. Wouldn't mind though.
I think it's the extended humidity. Makes you sweat balls like Niagara Falls.

Bradley,
Happy Birthday. Good talking to you the other day. Relax and enjoy life. C'mon out and hit the casino(s)- the closest is Pechanga, a mere 10-minute drive from here.

Hey Brad,
Happy Birthday!!! I have been laid off for a while so I understand the economic strains of your situation. You are 1 of the best investigative journalists on the web and #1 on election-voting coverage. The other contributors on your blog site also do a great job!
I wrote this once before but I feel bad that someone with your passion, brains, and writing/speaking talent thinks they cannot continue on because of reader donation support don't pay! To me that equates to the global criminal elite winning again in their paper money world and mass media they control.
You need to take a different approach to fund your work! You have exemplified unusual bravery in the face of adversity and you always back up the truth and your words with hard evidence. So you need to find that strength and apply it to finding an alternate income stream/s in addition to asking for donations to onsite readers which you might not even need to hit up anymore.
I don't think you will ever get the monetary support you want, deserve, or NEED from internet bloggers, especially in this economy! So put that fearless effort into thinking about different money sources that could be completely unrelated to journalism. Brainstorm ideas with family, friends, and business associates. For example, develop solar panel sales where a percentage funds Bradblog. Or maybe something related to your work but you don't even have to disclose the source/s because it's not important. What's important is that your blog does not disappear.
Lastly, I recently finished a CD I've been working on by my band but for now I can't afford to properly market it. You are listed in the THANK YOU'S with your website address. Have a great day.

Brad -
Was just reading about m. daniels, ex-Gov of IN and current Pres of Purdue Univ, trashing Howard Zinn et al (wanted his books removed from IN public schools). He recently received a $58,000 6-mo bonus (on top of his $400,000 per yr salary) for a "job-well done" during his first 6 months at Purdue. Of course the board members who selected him were hand selected by...
The point is Brad people like you deserve so much more (I'll send in $10 but like so many others not much coinage lying around) - but never think twice about asking for help.
You have earned it, and more, 10X over. And, unlike the pimp in IN, history will record that you were of sound body and mind and a lover of Equity and Justice.
Keep up the good work.
