Brad, thanks for continuing to spotlight the problems, but I'm left to wonder, at what point do we turn our attention to whatever is NEXT. NEXT, of course, being something other than the 3rd world election we just witnessed (again).
Any word on if the Electronic voting machines were tested in Afghanistan? They were sure successful there in assuring the RIGHT president got elected...

Jules,
I mean this in the most respectful manner but put a sock in it. Brad is right. Those people didn't get to vote. Why? Because Bush killed them. Why? Because they were sent to invade Iraq in search of WMD? Why? Because there were no WMD to begin with. Why? Because Bush is a liar, his administration is twisted and you have all been victims of their "fear tactics".
I am appalled by your ignorance (and that of your fellow Bush-voters). I don't get it. I don't think i'll EVER get it. The guy isn't a conservative. All my conservative friends in Canada see it --- why don't you? All the conservatives in the world see it, why can't you?!
I dread to think of the next four years..I guess Iran is next , huh? Poor people. They should start counting down their days. They should enjoy them while it lasts. Soon, they will be history.
Shame on you.

GOP,
Let's try this one time and see if you can get it:
"We sure did and proved the Michael Moore wing of the party that they were dead wrong. The lefties like Brad the terrible actor can't accept the decision of America, so they make crap up to explain how it happened.
Brad, you're a joke and nothing more. "
Six errors in six lines of text. I didn't even bother with punctuation because I knew that would overwhelm you. Not only are your thoughts ridiculous, you can't even write them out properly. Pass the GED exam and then come back to spew your hatred.
Your use of the term "dead wrong" is really quite ironic here (or perhaps you would prefer I say "ironical"). Bush was wrong about WMD, and now 1142 soldiers are dead and tens of thousands of American soldiers have been maimed.
Yes, your party won. We get it. Now get back to studying for that GED.

It's telling that those who won do nothing more than point fingers and laugh. Must be those moral values at work. Keep up the high ground guys, I know it's hard work tilling that barren soil!
Jules, of course this image is in bad taste. Standing behind someone willing to sacrifice those people for flawed reasons, then accepting no responsibility for it, is also bad taste.
Or it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
The two positives I see coming out of this election: 1. Liberals like Brad are not going away, regardless of the sticks and stones; 2. Bush will be left to clean the countless messes he has created for the first time in his life, and the conservatives will have no one to blame for the outcome. Even Clinton won't be able to take the rap here.
I hope, for the good of America, Bush can do it. I doubt, given his history, that he will.

Just so you know, guys, that "LOLOLOL" guy and "GOP" guy are --- of course --- the same guy.
A note to LOLOLOL/GOP: Your opinions here are welcome. However, using several different names to say the same thing and/or replly to yourself will not be tolerated. I prefer not to ban the IP addresses you're using from Wells Fargo / Norwest --- but I will if you continue to use more than one name.
In other words, your inanity is welcome. Your cowardly hiding behind many different screen names is not. The choice is yours.

Brad is correct in stating that those soldiers didn't get to vote. However, if they were still alive, how would their votes actually be cast?
Moore would like us to believe that the military is dead set against Bush and the war. I've yet to hear any of that from any of my family and friends serving in Iraq.
The point I'd like to make however, how would the families of these brave men and women feel if they saw that their loved ones were being used for a political purpose by Michael Moore?
Moore may be technically correct that they couldn't vote, but blaming it on Bush, and moreso using them in the first place for political reasons is simply tasteless, as is most of his work.
To comment on the LOLOL/GOP person, show some respect at least. Brad may disagree with the views that I hold, and presumably you also do, but he IS a good person. Trying to degrade his personal life is just petty. And people wonder why talking about politics on the internet is so hateful...geez.

Don't know. But last time they were used for a political purpose they ended up getting killed because of it. I hardly think Moore's use even comes close to that.
And for the record, it was *I* (not Moore) who framed it as "Those Who Didn't Get to Vote". All he did was post the photo on his website on Nov. 3 in place of previous info.

Troll,
I just don’t get you.
"Moore would like us to believe that the military is dead set against Bush and the war. I've yet to hear any of that from any of my family and friends serving in Iraq."
Do you personally know the family and friends of those serving in Iraq? I know a couple of people in Iraq (no, not Americans). They are completely against the war. I know a few people living in Canada who have family in Iraq too. They’re not happy about this war either - if you get my drift. There’s evidence for you.
"Moore may be technically correct that they couldn't vote, but blaming it on Bush, and moreso using them in the first place for political reasons is simply tasteless, as is most of his work."
1) Who would you blame it on then? Canada?
2) Check out Moore's site today and tell me if he in *any* way disrespects the troops. He doesn't.
Reminding the public that these people made the ultimate sacrifice is not a crime. The fact that you continuously fault Moore for speaking his mind is really puzzling. For a Canadian like myself, I see Moore as someone who refuses to forget people have died (or are continuing to die for that matter). Why is this a bad thing?
Be honest with yourself please. Whatever his reason was (terrorism, oil, whatever), BUSH sent those troops to Iraq. As the President, HE made that choice. He is responsible for the lives of those men and women. That is an indisputable fact. Some people (like you) can sleep at night knowing Bush did this, others (like Moore) can’t.
There is nothing tasteless about that.

Johanna - I have family members and friends over in Iraq, and some of whom have already served their time and are back home.
One of them has pictures of him in one of Saddam's palace and a bunch of Iraqi currency. He spoke nothing but good of his time over. The other, my future brother-in-law, was on a couple tours in Iraq so far and also has nothing but good to say for the war. The majority of my school (around 3000 kids of all races total at the university) is Arabic, and of Iraqi descent.
For the most part, they've all been happy that their family was liberated. My best friend's father (also Arabic) is going over to Iraq to be an on-base translator. He quit his job here making six figures to go over there and make roughly the same because he feels so strong about it.
Nothing tasteless? Using the dead for a political purpose - in this case, in disdain for the President - is very distasteful. The President wasn't alone in sending them over - the war was voted on. Using the "I only gave him authorization, I didn't expect him to go to war" excuse is very lame. Thats like telling a kid he can go watch TV if he wants, then expect him to not watch TV.
If you think Moore can't sleep at night, look a bit deeper. Moore is anti-war, no doubt. Losing sleep however is completely different. He's just another guy trying to make some money. He's found an audience to exploit and has done it well. If he was really a man of the people, he'd live like a common man, instead of in a large mansion, and use the money he has to help the troops he cares about so much.
The rhetoric of Michael Moore is one reason why Bush won. People can only take hate for so long.

What i can't figure out for the life of me is why, if goig to Iraq is such a damned party, these right wingers arent fighting themselves over a place in the recruitment line. i mean if iraq is so important to the future of America and that is the point they are making then they should be in line to volunteer. i guess some lives are worth more than others.
There was a great song called the draft dodger rag that sort of describes the feelings of those who think service is important and this war is necessary as long as they don't have to fight it. The song was written by the great Phil Ochs. Just a chorus with a name changed. i offer this to you Troll.
I hate Saddam, and I hope he dies,
but one thing you gotta see
That someone's gotta go over there
and that someone isn't me
So I wish you well, Sarge, give 'em Hell
Yeah, Kill me a thousand or so
And if you ever get a war without blood and gore
Well I'll be the first to go

Troll,
I'll reply to your post even though you probably won't get to read it.
"I have family members and friends over in Iraq, and some of whom have already served their time and are back home."
I notice that you don't have family members who (God forbid) have died in this war.
"One of them has pictures of him in one of Saddam's palace and a bunch of Iraqi currency. He spoke nothing but good of his time over."
I think I must be losing my ability to read or comprehend American English. Let me get this straight --- you have an American friend/family member who has pictures in Saddam's palace with a "bunch of Iraqi currency"...and then you're telling me he has nothing bad to say about his time there?
Someone help me with this one please. I must not be getting this. Did they go on a field trip, Troll? What the hell are they doing with a bunch of Iraqi currency in Saddam's palace when they are "not there for money or oil"?
"The other, my future brother-in-law, was on a couple tours in Iraq so far and also has nothing but good to say for the war."
I'm sorry. Are they there to fight a war or are they on vacation? ??????????????????????????
"He quit his job here making six figures to go over there and make roughly the same because he feels so strong about it. "
Wow.
" Using the dead for a political purpose"
If Bush hadn't used 9/11 as part of his political campaign, you'd have a point. But unfortunately for you, that's not what happened.
"If you think Moore can't sleep at night, look a bit deeper. Moore is anti-war, no doubt. Losing sleep however is completely different. He's just another guy trying to make some money."
Sure. I'll give you that. And if the media didn't make money, you'd have a point there too. But they do, and Moore (to me), is just a one man one-sided CNN report.
"He's found an audience to exploit and has done it well. "
Fyi- his "audience" outside of America think it's very admirable that he had the balls to stand up against his president (publicly).
"If he was really a man of the people, he'd live like a common man, instead of in a large mansion, and use the money he has to help the troops he cares about so much."
Hm....Or if he was a young adult with no family of his own, he should pick up and go to Iraq to help the President he just voted for, right? Get what I mean, Troll?
For that matter, what about ALL rich people in your country? Oprah should've used all her money to help the troops too. Shame on her. And shame on all the rich republicans rolling around in money who aren't using their funds for this war...AND, they voted in favour of the war!
"The rhetoric of Michael Moore is one reason why Bush won. People can only take hate for so long. "
I wonder when they'll wake up and see that Bush is full of hate too. Unfortunately, it wasn't soon enough.
Now, please excuse me while I go roll around in a bunch of Iraqi currency.

Troll, you haven't a clue about who Michael Moore is. Where is that "large mansion" of his you are certain he lives in?
As well, that man has done more for the troops, including raising more money for them and their families than you will ever make in a lifetime.
You are now little more than a hype-machine in the "conservative" echo chamber.
It's a pity.
Go sign-up like the "6-figure earning" family members you claim to have. Until then, you're all talk, no action, and zero courage.
