Taylor, who is being represented by a federal public defender, was ordered to be evaluated at a federal prison medical facility to determine whether he is mentally fit for the criminal proceedings.
Should've said:
Taylor, who is being represented by a federal public defender, was ordered to be evaluated at a federal prison medical facility to determine whether he watches FOX 'news'. If he does, he is mentally unfit to stand trial, as are all other FOX 'news' viewers, as they are not based in reality.

Here's the scary part:
In the last few years, the gunman told Oliver and the others, his life had headed south. He said his son had been killed in Afghanistan; the AP could not immediately find any record corroborating that.
"last few years" = Bush/Cheney, not Obama, but that's how powerful rightwing media is, to convince someone the blame of everything is on Obama. This is a case in point of how it works. People who are disgruntled over the last 8 years of Bush/Cheney: rightwing media has the ability to push the blame on Obama and the Democrats. They're genius's at it. They ruin the country for 8 years and blame it on Obama and the Democrats.
This didn't happen to this guy in the last 365 days, as the article says. It took years. So, rightwing media takes someone with a real grievance, albeit caused most likely by Bush/Cheney years, and directs that real grievance and that real anger this guy has, and directs it not at the culprits but at the enemies of rightwing media and the Republicans. And it works! You see it right here. It works and it's dangerous, very dangerous.
Rightwing media is doing this with the teabaggers, too. Taking their real grievances and pain and directing it at their enemies, not the teabaggers' enemies. This tactic really has to be outed, and don't look for the corporate owned media to out this tactic. They ARE the corporate owned media doing it!

No wonder our taxes are so high, they spend so much time on these right wing terrorists.
They really should bill Fox News and the RNC for this shit.
That would justifiably be the free market at work that the Corporatives so worship.

Big Dan nailed it @ #2. Priceless!
And, of course, would any of these reich-wing talkers ever admit that their hate-speech has ANY effect on the actions of ANYONE? Unless (of course) they're taking credit for inspiring all the tea-buggery that's going on these days. Merry effin Christmas.

And in the meantime...Goldman Sachs is "doing god's work"
LONDON (Reuters) - The chief executive of Goldman Sachs, which has attracted widespread media attention over the size of its staff bonuses, believes banks serve a social purpose and are doing "God's work."
In an interview with London's Sunday Times newspaper, Lloyd Blankfein also said he believed big profits and bonuses at banks were a sign that the world economy was recovering.
"We help companies to grow by helping them to raise capital. Companies that grow create wealth. This, in turn, allows people to have jobs that create more growth and more wealth. We have a social purpose," he told the paper.
The dominant Wall Street bank posted third-quarter earnings of $3 billion and plans to hand out more than $20 billion in year-end bonuses.
Blankfein told the Sunday Times that the bank's compensation practices correlated with long-term performance.
"Others made no money and still paid large bonuses. Some are not around anymore. I wonder why?"
He added that he understood, however, that people were angry with bankers' actions: "I know I could slit my wrists and people would cheer."
Kinda gives you a warm fuzzy huh ?

Floridiot, that's freaking genius. Bill them for it. They're going to bill the 'balloon family' for the hoax when they're done serving jail time. How is this really any different? I wonder if we could start a class action lawsuit for all the precious time we've wasted at the airport security checkpoints, metal wand detectors at public events, etc... just to give us some impression of security. You think determined people can't get the job done, no matter what protocols are in place? Please... locks only keep honest people honest.
We all have to react to a threat we can't do anything about. Lets say this latest 'Detroit bomber' had succeeded at blowing the plane up. Do you think we'd even know it was terrorism? We are on alert, passengers are not going to be hijacked with box cutters ever again. Enough already with the stupid 'security' and using that to reinforce our 'fear of what we can't control'.
Its no secret that the CIA, DOJ/FBI and others are more branches of the GOP than of the executive branch of the US government. As often as not they are actually provocateuring, which is really scary and something the MSM (right or left) never 'connects the dots for people' on.

Does it ever occur to these idiots that when you go to prison, they take away your guns? And when you get out, you can't ever have guns again.

Wow, talk about a dis-information campaign! Did you see the latest?
MATALIN: I was there, we inherited a recession from President Clinton and we inherited the most tragic attack on our own soil in our nation’s history. And President Bush dealt with it and within a year of his presidency within a comparable time, unemployment was at 5 percent.

This Guy was misinformed and I imagine he'd also been listening to Alex Jones who is always raving about guns being taken away. It could happen but there is no evidence to suggest this yet.
However he still has every reason to be very afraid of an administration that wants to enact the Cyber Security Act giving Obama the ability to shut down the internet. This bill was draughted by Jay Rockerfella (even the name inspires conpiracy theories) with the help of Obama and the Whitehouse.
This of course is not a reason to vote for Republicans who I can tell you might promise to repeal it but would probably replace it with something even worse.
I think your only hope as a country is to kick every single Democrat and Republican to the Kerb. Dont donate or vote for any of them. Run your own people for the next election and get them in.
Have you covered this Brad. I would have thought the Cyber security Bill would be ringing your alarm as it certainly is with me. Our government is looking at passing a bill draughted by our previous Labour government which would allow government agencies to bug us without going through legal process etc.
Heres a Link to an article about the Cyber bill.
