Wolf is a liar?
I guess when FOX sued successfully for the right to LIE on their NEWS program that decision did not extend to fictional programs?

As dead-on as Keith is about the right wing dominance of the media and the myth of the liberal bias, he does not go far enough. Because even though I don't pay attention to the wing-nut echo chamber, Keith helpfully amplifies their message every night on his broadcast so that it can't be ignored. Maybe there's an even broader conspiracy than we realize.

Personally I think Keith Olberman is acting as the left's voice and media watchdog. Olberman untwists the lies of the right wing loons and breaks down their agenda.
I don't think the right wing needs an echo chamber, they do a great echoing job themselves...The left desperately needed someone such as Olberman to call the right wing craziness for the bullshit that it is...
Keith Olberman is balancing (somewhat) the right wing's insanity with truth. Someone needed to do that.
The right wing hates Keith Olberman...which means Olberman is doing his job well.

OT, but relevant to true public rage yet to come:
Senate "Dems" i.e. corpocrats have been working overtime under White House supervision to kill the last possible cost-containment measure in the Senate HCR bill... and they just succeeded.
The Dorgan Drug Reimportation amendment just failed thanks to the Dems whipping their own members and Lieberman to vote against it.
A massive win for big pharma and of course a massive loss for the American people.
Rage? Wait until the American people realize that they are required to buy junk insurance from the corporations, a mandate enforced by the
IRS, but that the corporations are not required to actually give them health care in return... and are still jacking up their prices regardless.
True rage is yet to come...

"If that's the way they want to play, fine. Let's blow up the Fox News studio with all of them in it. I'd pay to see that on Pay-per-view."
Complete and utter bullshit. Mass murder that would do nothing but give Obama an even bigger hard-on for unlimited surveillance, unlimited detention, and swarms of new "law enforcement" measures to strip rights from citizens and not incidentally funnel even more billions to the corporations.
Get your head out of your ass, refrain from knee-jerk glibness and try again.

Importantly, Keith ends with saying the so-called liberal media is rightwing media that incites violence and the other half are rightwingers claiming the corporate media they OWN and RUN is liberal and they have no voice:
David Brock, the reformed conservative noise-maker, on how the Right has sabotaged journalism, democracy, and truth.
As a young journalist in the 1990s, David Brock was a key cog the Republican noise machine. Writing for the American Spectator, a conservative magazine funded by billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife, Brock gained fame for his attack pieces on Anita Hill and President Bill Clinton. Then, in 2002, Brock came clean. In his memoir, Blinded by the Right, Brock admitted that his work was based on lies and distortion, and part of a coordinated smear campaign funded by wealthy right wing groups to discredit Clinton and confuse the public.
Since then, Brock has continued to expose the conservative media onslaught. In his newest book, The Republican Noise Machine, Brock documents how right-wing groups pressure the media and spread misinformation to the public. It's easy to see how this is done.
Fringe conspiracies and stories will be kept alive by outlets like Rush Limbaugh, the Washington Times, and the Drudge Report, until they finally break into the mainstream media.
Media groups like Brent Bozell's Media Research Center have spent 30 years convincing the public that the media is, in fact, liberal. As Brock says, it's all a sham: "I have seen, and I know firsthand, indeed from my own pen, how the organized Right has sabotaged not only journalism but also democracy and truth."

Well, that's kinda funny that you don't want to joke about blowing people up but you put this drivel article up about these Fox Clowns threatening violence, where Beck is labeled a "comedian," O'Reilly calls himself an "act" on The Colbert Report, etc. Are we just fishing for more web hits or trying to do some real hard-hitting news? Let's cover some real news and stop giving these Fox Clowns more publicity. You're a beacon for the Election controversy. Let's concentrate on more issues, too.

Yet another mouth-drooling pack of lies from Keith "go f*** your mother" Olbermann. Talk about laughable comments: "There is no liberal media...The media is owned by corporations, and corporations are by definition right-wing..."
Starbucks is right-wing? Last time I checked, they gave exactly $0 to republicans. What a load of hooey. And blaming various shootings on somebody other than the perps is even bigger hooey.

SLAPBANGWALLSH: you don't think it's hard-hitting news that the "liberal media" isn't liberal and it's all a sham perpetrated by the right to portray it as such, even though they are all over it saying they have no voice? I don't think there could be a bigger story. It explains a lot of what's happening.

Holy Shit, I had no clue that Starbucks actually owned a media Broadcasting company. That's some real news there Damail.
And, well, while Felafel boy didn't pull the trigger on Dr Tiller, he sure as hell worked his ass off to promote the man's murder. Hell, it wasn't even worth his time to examine the court's decision when he was found NOT GUILTY of violating Kansas law. Nope, all that self absorbed douchebag could do was bitch about how wrong the decision was and then provoke more outrage by continually referring to him as a murderer. Words do have an effect. As seen in the Pittsburgh cop murders incited by the false premise that Obama's taking away the guns, promoted over and over and over again by that idiot Beck. The fear mongering does have an affect and those who do it, repeatedly, know it has an affect.
So...don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining you fascist apologist.

Extreme right wingers are classic victim bullies...I've ran into a few of these personalites on blogs and messageboards over the years.
This link describes them in academia; but it applies to any situation in greater society...especially our media and political arena.
Think Sarah Palin...and those who worship her. Think Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly...Sean Hannity is a whole other personality type in my opinion...but just as in need of therapy. It's what the right wing noise machine appeals too...the victim bullies in our society, they play them like a cheap ukelele.

I love the way Olbermann goes through the long list of right wing personalities who, for a least a decade, have parroted the exact line:
"The conservatives have no voice in the media"
Here's another line the same pundits (learned persons) have drilled into our heads:
"The reason there are no liberal talk shows is because nobody listens to them"
Think about that for a while.

Ping-pong, ping-pong.
Keith's comment was great, but his show suffers terribly from not having live head-to-head debates with right wingers.
I'd heard this is because none are willing to duke it out with him, but I'm sure some would. Maddow seems to be able to pull this off and when she can't she mentions when and where the attempts were made (as well as soliciting qualified righties on the air).
We will go back and forth forever unless we begin to see the return of a live, head-to-head debate format.

We will now turn that around: "Press charges, Keith, press charges!"
If Olbermann really wants to claim that O'Reilly, Beck, Goldberg et al are responsible for those shootings, then let's see him try to charge them with accessory to murder.
It will never happen, because the premise is 100% bovine excrement. Olbermann and everybody else knows this.

So, he's supposed to dig this crap up, write it down, read it on the air day in day out and also go after criminals by night?
Kind of like Clark Kent/Superman?
I knew it! I knew it! I watch Keith every single night and I was always thinking to myself, "now who does he remind me of?" the name was on the tip of my tongue the whole time and I never put it together until your post, Damail.
Keith Olbermann is Clark Kent: AKA Superman.
