A recount has been requested by a candidate for Senate in Indiana. / Riverside Co. California has announced an intent to form a panel to investigate their voting problems. / Ron Rivest visited Georgia on Nov. 7 and has recently reported on what he saw as he visited with the head of the state’s elections and some polls in different counties. He was told by Kathy Rogers, the state elections boss, that the state did illegally use uncertified software in 2002. Rivest also found that the state seems to have decided it’s OK to violate federal law as they turn voters with questionable registrations away from the polls without offering them a provisional ballot….

A tidbit from the Bradenton Herald: David Jefferson had said he couldn’t be on the team, and indeed is not listed as to any affiliation… but is listed by the Herald as present.

It’ll interesting to read his testimony….

Sorry, way OT, but I just found an excellent interview with John Lennon on the Tom Snyder show from the mid seventies. It always amazes me how down to earth the Beatles were considering their unbelievable fame. I always liked Tom Snyder’s show, but I think he’s too “liberal” to have a show anymore, (sad commentary).

Just punch on “read the article” under “John Lennon Interviewed By Tom Snyder: The Nicest Egomaniac”

Cynthia Mckinny said she had poll watchers to make sure the beginning vote started at zero. Georgia passed a law that made it impossible for people to do that again. Then she lost.

He could be abrasive even to his friends, but he always, always told the truth, and didn’t have a pretentious bone in his body. I’m pissed though, because I tried to download the whole thing last night and my dial-up won’t let me get more then half the interview.

Like so many things lately, that Mark Chapman story doesn’t make a lick of sense. I hope I get to see that Lennon movie soon. I don’t think it has played here yet.
