I'm suprised, but delighted, that the press even showed up to take a picture!
Perhaps this will get circulated enough to let some of those sheeple out there wake up a bit.

The machines are reliable, they do exactly what they are programmed to do.
It is the chain of custody, election officials, and Diebold electronic election machine design and programming practices that are not reliable.
In other words, the same machine will perform as told, and will be "honest or dishonest" ... depending on the software inside it at any given time.

"The machines are reliable, they do exactly what they are programmed to do."
Not exactly correct, to my recolection.. That is, these machines aren't reliable because sometimes they crash, or lock up, or fail to register votes (the non-malicious failing context which has been reported), or don't sense the right position on the screen, etc. etc. etc...
I don't want the machines because they are fallable AND hackable. The hacking is only a little of the picture.. Granted, it's one of the more important little bits, but the fact that these machines aren't even as stable as the common PC is another serious issue (if you ask me).

media must stop reporting what they can't actually verify. There exists no proof that Brian Bilbray won the special election in the CA-50th U.S. House race.
Isn’t that called false advertisement?

Okay here goes,
This is the most staggering event of the last ten thousand years.
This will knock you on your ass and you won't get up for months.
You can't possibly believe this, but you will have no choice but to believe it.
It is completely verifiable.

I'm not sure I want to follow a link from someone who can't spell sentient, even though the notion of something insentient standing in for something sentient is interesting. How could it reveal 9/11 Truth? Send it to http://www.st911.org and see if they go for it.

Agent 99 that dreamslaughter piece is strange. It starts out like something I've read before, but then delves into the Notepad thing that Foridiot posted on the open thread and goes on to translate the chinese characters I came across when I changed it to a Word document.
It further expounds on other iterations of the wordpad "glitch".

I would not have figured you to be one who cares nothing for definition, seeing as how you focus on it often.
In the software development world that I am accustomed to, the difference between "the iron" (machine) and the software ("programs we write"), is definition.
We define "machine" as the fixed portion of the equation/reality, and "software" as the portion that humans develop to control the "machine".
Perhaps the "body relates to machine" and "mind relates to software" is a useful comparison when we think of it in human terms.
If you need or want to call a "machine" software and "software" machine ... your choice ... but don't expect that blend to exalt clarity ... at least where I have crafted logic these past decades.

Cool,
Thanks for the spelling correction.
I never could spell.
I don't know why my spell checker didn't show me that. You're lucky there is a spell checker, or this peice would be a hazard to your sensibility.
Anyways, thanks again. It will be corrected in teh future.

sinsanity: Okay. Since Agent BB2 tied it in with another matter under discussion, I just followed your link. CHINESE PEOPLE MAKE MOST OF OUR COMPUTER COMPONENTS. The Chinese, and really all, or most, Asian languages have tens of meanings for each syllable, and the pictogram writing only narrows the confusion a little. You have to know the context to understand the language. It is possible to translate a news item about, say, a train wreck into a cookbook. The very most lucid explanation for the Chinese characters you find when manipulating Notepad just so, is that it renders up the code for who built or assembled the PC you're using. Get a grip.
I know what it is like to be steeped in the universe of 9/11 Truth, and I know what it is like to be stoned out of my gourd, and I know what it is like to be working one's way into paranoid schizophrenia. There isn't any viable connection with those symbols and 9/11. If you're not just going to a LOT of trouble to say, "9/11 happened, move on," which is wussy at best and nihilistic at worst, step back and apply some objectivity to your "findings". Better yet, get thee to a university and find someone who can translate the Chinese for you. Hell, call Microsoft or the company that made your computer.
Also, go rent A Beautiful Mind at the video store, or read the book it's based on.
:)

Agent99, I tend to agree with a lot of what you say. And that article points that out as well, me thinks you’re getting a little bit huffy about a story about a guy wearing a tin foil, wouldn’t you say?
It's possible that some Chinese programmer hid the events of 911 in the symbols he associated with the US alphabet, that in itself is a great story, wouldn't you say?
As for the translations, the connection there is that when you put the symbols in a translator, wow, up come some words, doesn't matter what they are associated with, the words are there. And they are written down and looked at. The Chinese symbols have a meaning, and the symbols are linked to the translator. The translator also gives the meanings of other words that use that symbol as a base in multi symbol concepts. That's what the translator is about.
The article even said that it was most likely a Chinese programmer, or who knows, whoever associated certain Chinese symbols with the alphabet. It could be some teenager in Redmont, Seattle. That’s an even better story. It’s not about the hardware, its about the Unicode font matrix and who decided what was to go where.
As you might have noticed, the reality of the meanings of the translations is incorporated into the story.
As for working one's way into paranoid schizophrenia, I’m not a paranoid schizophrenia and neither am I.
The point is, is that there are only a few of the many thousands of Chinese characters represented by the lower case, upper case and special symbols of the standard key board. And if one just goes and looks at the translations of those limited characters, one might see a pattern. Some people still think the senate didn’t kill Caesar, that Oswald acted alone, that Watergate, Iran Contra and the Vietnam War were part of the vast left wing conspiracy. That the inquisition was because of the witches and pagans. That’s okay, everything is gonna be alright. Try not to get too bent about a little story. Try to have a little fun with it. And if your fun is degradation, fine, have your little chuckle. It won't hurt.

Oh, my. I am dirt positive 9/11 was an inside job. I have to get huffy with numberless citizens who can't be bothered to apply the laws of physics to see that there is NO other explaination for it. Still, they prefer to insist this position is insane. So, then, and I am sorry, I get even huffier when someone who sees it was no conspiracy of box-cutter wielding Muslims, at least half of whom have been shown to be alive right now, goes and does a long phantasmagorical goofball piece like yours. The real NEED right now is to show the extreme integrity and lucidity of the TRUTH, not give fodder for the dumbed-down populace to continue to call it whacky.
So cut it out! If you want to have fun with your piece, please announce, straight up, that you are just having fun, and this is not meant to denigrate the 9/11 Truth movement.
Thank you.

How many agent99's are there here?
You are getting a little huffy. I apologize If I am the cause for it. Unfortunatly I can't announce straight up that I am JUST faving fun. I am having fun, but it's not just fun.
That article is just the kind of thing that could bring 911 truth to the MSM, As they sit around talking about tin foil hats, getting stoned and little cute otters, the contents of the translations might get mentioned too. Sorta like putting a pill in a spoonful of peanut butter. It makes it easier to go down for some.
What really matters here, is that the words that appear in multiple translators, when you translate the standard keyboard characters have an amazing coincedence of being related to 911.
That's a fact Jack. If you read that article, you know that.

Dredd at #10, I understand your point about the "hardware" doing what it's told... But in today's vernacular, machine is much more than "hardware"..
ma·chine ( P ) Pronunciation Key (m-shn)
n.
1.
---1. A device consisting of fixed and moving parts that modifies mechanical energy and transmits it in a more useful form.
---2. A simple device, such as a lever, a pulley, or an inclined plane, that alters the magnitude or direction, or both, of an applied force; a simple machine.
2. A system or device for doing work, as an automobile or a jackhammer, together with its power source and auxiliary equipment.
3. A system or device, such as a computer, that performs or assists in the performance of a human task: The machine is down.
4. An intricate natural system or organism, such as the human body.
5. A person who acts in a rigid, mechanical, or unconscious manner.
6. An organized group of people whose members are or appear to be under the control of one or more leaders: a political machine.
7.
---1. A device used to produce a stage effect, especially a mechanical means of lowering an actor onto the stage.
---2. A literary device used to produce an effect, especially the introduction of a supernatural being to resolve a plot.
8. An answering machine: Leave a message on my machine if I'm not home.
In that, when you say "these mahines do what you tell them to" is to imply the "entire system"..
And, to the specific point.. when you overheat a chip, it behaves "unreliably".. that is, the results of it's functioning are not consistent.. From what I gather, the problems with the "voting machines" isn't 100% explainable to bad "software", but that sometimes the hardware could be to blame as well.. In all, the "machines" in their entirety are not "reliable".. No machine is 100% infallable. Even a simple lever will break under too much strain..
As a Software Engineer, I've never head the "hardware" called the "machine" in a context that had it uniquely sepperated from the "software". Machine has always been the full system of hardware and software combined.. *shrug*
symantics, I suppose

Their money doesn't really make them happier then the rest of us and they know it. That's why they have to prove to us all the time that they can get away with things we can't.
Clinton being impeached by a cadre of adulterers was a wide screen, cinerama, panavision, technicolor, example.
It's the only joy they have!
Let's take it from them with paper, hand counted ballots!

Yea---I couldn't BELIEVE Laura get up there & joined in the roast with BLUE humor on national TV!
(Actually, she was funny just reading the clean stuff--didn't need the rest.)
What did her church ladies say?
For a family that pretends to be so religious, Laura sure jumped right down there in the dirt.
I was very surprised at her.
But not any more.
If Rove thinks it'll get polls up, I wouldn't put it past him to make Laura & the girls strip next.
And I wouldn't count on Laura to have enough sense to say "No", either.
