One Cook County Illinois candidate is threatening to file a federal lawsuit for both Democrat and Republican candidates and against the county for voting counting problems. ES&Ss inability to deliver paper ballots on time is now being blamed on consolidation that the company did last year when they closed a Chicago office and moved their functions in with the Omaha office. Meanwhile Indiana SoS Rokita has decided that it is time to hold hearings into the failure of ES&S to provide contractual services and to learn more about reports that MicroVote has provided uncertified software to some customers in the state. The fines to ES&S could be as much as $300,000 per incident….

Pretty soon, what we’ll see is all the voting machine companies running the other way and us taxpayers left holding the bag
It’ll look like the Silverado bailout
It’s quite interesting though, that the lead (to the end of these machines) might come from Indiana?
I guess I don’t care where the end comes from, as long as it does
If anyone out there has information relating to Diebold that would help in exposing the company’s bad practices, please post it here.
If you know of a resource that would lead us to such information, that would be helpful also.
Thanks.
Although I’m not familiar with any data available of Diebold’s bad company practices, there is an excellent resource of US state statistics that was just released last tuesday – StateMaster.com, a handy way of comparing US states on over 2,600 statistics, everything from percent of toothless people to race related hate crimes (New Jersey comes in number 1 for the latter, in case you were wondering). This free online resource allows you to graph, map, plot and correlate all statistics in the database. It also includes detailed state profiles, hundreds of maps and flags, and a forum area.
A fine resource worth a look.

We stink. We, meaning America.
#1 yeah, like the Simpson’s monorail episode
John Gideon, thank you for this important service you provide through Brad Blog. It certainly help us to see the soon to come train wreck that will be hitting Arizona.
#5 Dan, there is more reality on that show than the reality that the pubs can make up
As a matter of fact, thats where the Simpsons writers get their plot line from, the family values people
