Many folks have had trouble find information about the FDOT Investigator who was said to be working on the case, and who Clint Curtis says in his Affidavit (PDF), was close to a break on the case. Curtis quotes him as saying “he had tracked the corruption ‘all the way to the top'”.

there was another reporter investigating george sr. who died in 92-93 in almost the same way, in a motel bathtub with his wrists slit with the police screwing up the investigations. i think it was in virginia. does anybody else remember that?

I believe you’re likely referring to Danny Casolaro who was investigating the INSLAW case back in 1991.
And yes, he also "committed suicide" in the same precise fashion as Lemme.

The hotel room in Valdosta where Ray Lemme died was bizarre. It is the sleaziest hotel on the outskirts of town. There is no reason to think that Mr. Lemme would even want to stay there, much less take his life in such a dump.
It is past the exotic dancers’ joint, just past a truck stop on the edge of a forest.
The Valdosta police are checking the recent articles, they said, and would have a comment soon.
The swing latch on the door can easily be closed with a string from the outside.

The "executive secretary" for Yang, Mike Cohen, needs to be asked a few direct questions, such as:
What is a nice Jewish boy like you doing in such a racket?
Is Yang Enterprises, Inc. a Mossad front? When I spoke to the editor of the Oviedo Voice, he told me that Mrs. Yang appeared to be just a front.
It is also very odd that there was NO mention of Mr. Lemme’s death in the Valdosta Daily Times. Not a word about his death on July 2 or anytime after that. The Valdosta police said that the paper shies away from suicides.
i cannot remember what the INSLAW case was about and has any thing come out of Danny Casolaro "suicide".

I know right where this motel is and nothing that was said about it is true. Now the story may be true but the facts that this person posted is not true.
What was said it true, He had the right motel I didn’t so sorry. I thought it was the motel on 133 and its the motel on 84. It is a cheap motel. Again I am sorry for the mistake.
