You have got to be kidding me. You post this crap and continue igorning important issues like CISPA? I'm becoming increasing disappointed with brad blog as a whole.

Jak Crow -
All due respect, despite your continuing nagging for me to write something, anything, apparently, about CISPA, I don't think you seem to understand how The BRAD BLOG works. Or perhaps you don't care. I'll assume it's the former and so I'll try to explain it to you, briefly.
The post you are complaining about today, the one above, took about 3 minutes to post. Generally, I'm working on about 6 or 7 different stories in the background, on all different manner of things (in addition to doing at least four different radio shows a week, and more.) The BRAD BLOG "staff" is generally just me, along with some help from occasional guest contributors (whose stories I also take time to work with them on editing and researching before they are posted) and a few folks who help out quietly, on a volunteer basis in the background, to keep an eye on comment spam and related stuff.
While most blogs work differently, I only tend to post stuff about which I have something of value to actually add. Sometimes that "value" is simply adding additional light to a story that isn't getting enough of that. But, most of the time, it's when we can add new light or new information to an issue of importance.
Other times, it may just be a pallet cleanser, of sort, like the story above --- posted near the end of several very long weeks of very unfunny news. So, um, you're welcome?
While I appreciate you realize that CISPA is the most important thing in the world right now. More important than the 3 people who died and hundreds injured in Boston; more important than the 15 people who died and hundreds injured in West, TX; more important than the arms industry breaking our government entirely (as we saw with the failure to allow background checks to even come up for a vote last week); more important than an attempted Presidential assassin still on the loose; more important than a new bi-partisan report finding that the last administration committed torture on an unprecedented level for the history of this country, in a way that is in criminal violation of any number of American laws and international treaties; more important than the nation's entire voting system changing, potentially, to a 100% unverifiable method in the very near future; more important than news (fake or real) that may send the U.S. back into another war for less-than-legitimate reasons; --- (those are just some of the things that we've been covering, while trying to work in the background on many other investigative reports and issues at the same time) --- you are still not the assignment editor for The BRAD BLOG.
Moreover, other than complain that I haven't written about it lately, you've not offered anything new to the CISPA issue, so I'm not sure what it is you are demanding that I write about. Moreover, I, for the moment, do not have anything new of value to add to it, nor do I have the time at the moment, to go looking for something new to add, nor does it, for the moment, rise to more importance than many of the issues I just listed, or many of the issues I'm working on in the background that you know nothing about yet.
Nonetheless, with all of that said, since you are so adamant that it is the most important thing that I can possibly use my time for at this moment, I am happy to invite you to submit a guest blog to me via email on this matter. If your work is newsworthy, well sourced, well written, and offers new information and/or insights into the matter, I will be happy to add it to my queue of stories that are waiting for editing and posting here, as my time becomes available to do so. I think that's a very generous offer, frankly, given the pretty shitty attacks you've flung at me over the last week or so because I didn't report on what you want me to report on.
As I wait to look at for your submission, if I come across something else related to the CISPA story that interests me, or that I feel I have to offer to the matter, I'll cover it here as I see fit, and as time allows. As usual. If I don't, I won't.
Fair enough?
And, BTW, if you must know, I can't speak for other journalists, but, generally, when I'm badgered into covering something, it does not necessarily encourage me to be more interested in covering it. Often, quite the opposite happens. You may wish to keep that in mind as you try to affect journalists coverage of the stories you are most interested in, in the future. FWIW. Hope that helps.

Funny post.
It reminded me of D.C. because a woman journalist said recently "there are too many penises in Washington."
Yep. More women politicians needed.

Jak Crow,
I read that the Senate Committee is not going to take up CISPA ... so it will fade away for awhile.
Like it did last time.

Jak,
A little humor helps me get through the dreary, dismal, depressing, discouraging process we call life on earth.
Remember, all work and no play make Jak a dull boy.
Lighten up, you'll live longer and be more productive and effective in the work you do.
