PETER FALK, 1927 - 2011

I must say, I am particularly saddened by this one. Yes, I was a very big fan.

The "Hello From Peter" page, the front page of Falk's website until he became ill from Alzheimer's, helps make his charms immediately apparent (see below)....

...Oh, and just one more thing, ma'am...Aside from his best-known role as TV's Columbo (for which he won 4 Emmy awards), and his inimitable performance in the original 1979 The In-Laws (one of the funniest films of all time), I should mention that Falk was long-ago revealed to have been an actual angel on this earth all along by Wim Wender's 1987 German masterpiece Wings of Desire. If you've not experienced it (the real one, as opposed to the 1998 American remake, City of Angels with Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan) find the time to do yourself the favor.
