So the DailyKos’ Markos Moulitsas is scheduled to be on Bill Maher’s Real Time tonight (which will be back on live again on HBO this evening).
Good. Hopefully Maher will push Kos hard to concede that President Barack Obama is not Progressive enough, is not bringing the change he’d promised, is failing to bring the accountability for the previous administration’s blatant violations of the Rule of Law and the Constitution as the Democratic base and the majority of Americans had come to expect that he would.
If Maher presses Kos specifically, hard and loudly, on these points — and he will have to — I’d suspect Kos will agree with him. If he does, and makes such direct criticism of Obama heard in no uncertain terms, I suspect that might even catch Obama’s attention, and further force him to ponder his current untenable stance on these matters and perhaps encourage him to begin to push back against the Rahm Emmanuels in the administration who are urging him down the easy “Clinton middle” instead
If anybody is in direct touch with Maher, or Kos, — or even Obama — please bring this opportunity to their attention. It starts with Maher. And, if anybody can do it, he can. It’d be a shame to see such an opportunity wasted.
UPDATE 7/18/09: Opportunity missed. Maher didn’t push Obama or Kos. Kos didn’t use the opportunity to push for more progressivism or accountability. Too bad. Maher’s closing “New Rules” monologue was awesome, however. I’ll try to get that posted here soon if possible.
I don’t know – a lot of obamabots over there – they would probably support a total morphing onto chimpy before they will admit they were wrong.

Not likely he will turn this around on network TV – they don’t allow it on their blog.
Right. That’s why Maher would need to press him. But if anybody could, it would be Maher. Let’s see if he notices and takes up the challenge tonight!
Does Moulitsas wear lipstick?
Kos is pretty clearly what one might call a Gatekeeper site, they ban anyone that doesn’t conform to what ever propaganda they are desperately trying to spin.
And he’s not even a progressive/liberal – he is a republican military hack that got out or the army and decided to use a blog forum to manufacture a dialog and consensus that IS NOT PROGRESSIVE OR LIBERAL AT ALL.
I will grant him the right to do it and accept his work, but he in no way speaks for progressive and liberal ideas.
Not, the mainstream media misrepresents his blog as being our voice, shifting the dialog to the right and marginalizing progressive voices – the bloggophere is full of this.
So can anyone give us an update on what happened on the show?
My guess is that kos continuted to “catapult” the propaganda.
Yes. Soon we will be forced to stop griping about the “MSM” because it is very clear that those of the most successful blogs have begun fitting themselves right into those very footprints. You don’t get big unless you are willing to fit yourself into what the masses already think, what the power structure will help you help them make the masses think.
Already the internet might as easily be referred to as the “disinformation superhighway”… just another propaganda tool for the media-savvy celebrities that pass for government officials and journalists.

I just watched this episode. Is it me or does Kos just suck at TV? He appeared to be about as competent as Chuck Todd. Greenwald should be grilling him next.
Kos has long been a liberal fraud, and it’s a devil of a task to convince many well-meaning liberals of that.
But, who does his make up, that Kos, what a lip shade! Petunia? No, more like…fuschia. Seriously, it looks like make up he’s wearing.

The “oh-fish-all” government story of 911 is definitely from outer space, because physics is not a consideration in their version of 9-11-01. For God’s sake, it’s on film, video documentation, the truthers are burying the government with evidence though. The government mafiosos from the military industrial complex (and media partnership/mutual stockholdings) are still trying to sell the American citizens their cartoon theory. Amazing many are still in denial. I better stop, I could go on and on, on this subject. All know, I’m sure that googling 911 truth brings a plethora of information and organizations doing, and/or having done already studies of their own.
