Thanks for the timber check. He shot that down so quickly I almost believed him. Kerry looked stunned, I thought out of embarrassment.
My feeling of the night: you KNOW Bush is gonna lie to you, and Kerry MAY lie to you. Who you gonna go with?
Not a brilliant debate, but felt even to me overall.

i think its little things like that that will undermine him. i grew up on a farm. i get many of my sensibilities from my experience as a kid. My position is that anyone who doesn't know where they get their money from is too stupid to be president, has too much money or both.
And that bizarre comment about "wood" seemed too much like a dick joke.

Yes. Sounds like Kerry, who, if elected, would be the wealthiest person to live in the White House. How does that jive with the democratic party calling itself the party of the, "little guy?" Hypocrites.
GO BUSH

Actually, I guess Kerry knows where he gets some of his money. The gigolo gets it from HIS WIVES

Greg,
You are a fucking idiot for making a comment like that. Keep your bullshit confined to the likes of dumbshits like yourself.
Leave it to a fuck-up to divert the issues and draw attention to the people that matter the least in this race, like their wives.
Greg...you now have my permission to stick a banana up your ass.

Bush knows exactly where his money comes from. HE MAKES MONEY FROM GROWING TIMBER AND PASSES LAWS TO CUT THEM DOWN.
I don't know how the Pacific North West went hundreds of thousands of years without an effective clear-cutting strategy? Thank GOD Bush was there to put an end to nature replenishing itself.

Collector, with all due respect, Greg's comments, I believe, speak for themselves. They are silly, largely pointless, and nothing more than a ridiculous partisan cheap shot.
On the other hand, your personal attack on him, no matter how much you may feel it's merited, won't really get us anywhere. Particularly in this highly charged atmosphere.
If you can try to keep your comments away from the ad-hominem personal attacks it would certainly be better for the discussion here, and for this country as a whole.
I understand as much as anyone how high passions are running. But I believe we would all be better off if we could confine our comments to the issues where possible.
That said, I hope you'll visit and comment frequently here! Don't worry, the wingnuts are doing a fine job of doing themselves in without too much help from us!

Greg,
i am not sure how your comments, as smarmy as they are, in any way defeat the idea that Mr. Bush was either being untruthful or is too stupid to know the sources of his money. Alternately, i suppose you could say that he was too lazy to read the study on which his statements on small businesses were based. In any scenario, it just doesnt look too good for Mr. Bush.
i am not certain how trying to come to grips with Bush's utter failure regarding his statements and how they relate to his clims makes me a hypocrite. Now, i dare say, if you have read any of my comments here or at the other board we both frequent you would know that i am not a democrat and i have some serious differences with certain policies they have held. i certainly offer no apologia for absolutely stupid statements of this type.

Greg - Johnhp is no Democrat like he said. A socialist is what he is, so, it's sort of the same thing.
