The voting news today has been dominated, not by tomorrow’s primary news, but by an attempted takeover of Diebold by the military industrial complex in the form of United Technologies, which also owns Sikorsky Helicopter and jet engine maker Pratt and Whitney. Diebold received the offer for takeover and has rejected it so far. Remember Dwight Eisenhower’s warning: “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”…

John,
There are definite links between the pentagon electronic and other voting, the EAC, and Ciber, (meaning Shawn Southworth to me):
UT taking over Diebold would fit right into that picture.
Brad, Wedsite Buckeye State Blog is keeping a good update on what’s happening here in Ohio. Sounds like paper ballots are different depending on county. Hudson is Summit, they have a bigger turn out than in 06, lots of D’s, and large sheets of paper,no stub. (daughter voted there at 7 AM) Cuyahoga county I believe has very thin paper with a stub that reads “vote won’t be counted if removed.” People are being told to remove it by poll workers, voters are very reluctant to do it even if they’re being told to.
Thank you Arty in Fayette for listening! And like Murtha says, you want a war get a draft!!
This country should NEVER let their representatives vote on WAR with out one! Get rid of this PRIVATE STANDING ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would be nice if the issues themselves was all we had to worry about. I do believe America could have that handled easily.
Its the VOTING DUMMY.
Careful now! I’M a voting dummy. 😛
Hey 99, i’m signing off for now…just hoping ALL people’s votes are counted. And every community takes a good look at participating in the over sight to make damn sure things get done right. Kinda late for others, but not me………just the kind of thing kkkarl might say!
