They should taser Ron Paul at the next debates and any Ron Paul supporter.
At the very least, send them to gitmo after Fred Thompson is elected.

We know that not everything is in good working order, but this article raises another curious question: could Democracy break down into chaos even if everything was in good working order?
We still have a lot of work to do.
Brad, could you provide us with an article which gives us an overview of where the states stand with regard to electronic voting machines? Which states still use 'em? Which states dropped 'em? etc.

I made the decision to supersede the rules, and for that I apologize,” Meyer wrote. “I should have acted calmer and obeyed the directives of the officers. If I had, none of the subsequent issues would ever have arisen.”…
University police had recommended Meyer be charged with resisting arrest with violence, a felony, and disturbing the peace and interfering with school administrative functions, a misdemeanor.
His lawyer’s set up a website devoted to the case,
even though there no longer appears to be a case to speak of. You’ll find Meyer’s letters to the U of F community, the university’s president, and the police department in the sidebar. At least read that last one; I haven’t seen crap-eating like that since Ron Burgundy dined on dog chips in “Anchorman.”

and if he decides to disrupt another public event, like he owns the place - I say "tase him again bro!".

As a Michelle Malkin fan, so, likely in favor of imprisoning fer'ners as well, I'm not surprised you feel that way.
If you ever need the right to speak up for your country, and get tased for it in the bargain, don't bother sending me your sorry tale. Send it to Malkin so she can make fun of you.

I recently attended a presentation about security by the Security Department of University of Southern California (USC). I asked a question about whether USC authorizes their campus officers to use tasers, and they happily replied an emphatic "NO!" They consider these weapons as potentially lethal and they are strongly opposed to their use. That makes a parent feel much more at ease, although my child is not a likely candidate for such repressive police tactics being applied to them any way.

This saddens me the most. Meyer says: "The United States have been divided. The country has been split into 'left vs. right,". (and even progressive against progressive)
It's the Mission Accomplished" by the bush mafia. Divide and conquer. Maybe because we are a younger country most don't label themselves as a C or L. We will switch parties if we don't like what we see. Of course lately we do have more choices. You guys really need that third party. Personally I like your Kucinich, he should run as an independent.
It would be interesting to see what the background of most of the "bobble heads" on the cooperate owned media is. Where did they find them? Are they from Pat Robertson's school of journalism?
... as Brad says it's not about left and right, it's about right and wrong.
Don't apologize Meyer. Stick to your principles.

Bone chilling. Meyer's "apology" is even creepier than the original tasering incident. It has the stench of the forced confessions during the Soviet show trials of the 1930s.

Nice work Mark VZ #15....and when exactly did you stick your neck out for democracy? Seems to me we could use a few more Meyers in this failing state of ours, and I think the "Don't tase me bro" was entirely appropriate, not at all "drama" - Christ, I'd say the same if the jackboots came after me with that death machine.
And I'm in agreement with Linda #6 - Just what the hell did he have to apologize for??
I hope the UF Police get sued for excessive force.

Check out this new article on MSNBC:
http://fieldnotes.msnbc....e/2007/10/31/441568.aspx
Apparently the MSM is trying to use its Jedi mind trick to get us to believe that a different camera angle told a different story. I watched it all and it all said the same thing: POLICE STATE. They arrested him for inciting a riot. Ummm...I didn't see any rioting, other than the police. Did you see the policeman with the gray mustache..."tase him, tase him" while they were sitting on top of him. And how about the Bill O'Reilly-esque "cut the mike" ploy to squash informed dissent.
Really, anyone who doesn't get how indicative this is of where this country is headed...well, I guess they deserve what's coming. And Kerry? After his performance..."er, I think if we all calm down, then the situation will calm down" maybe we are better off without him in office. Hell no, scream your head off, "now we see the violence inherent in the system. Help help I'm being repressed." Kerry: "Bloody peasants."
