Speaking of pulling no punches:
According to the paper, one Washington source said the "temperature was rising" to launch an Iranian attack inside the Bush administration. This information comes on the heels of reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency last week that cited "significant cooperation" with Iran over its nuclear program, including the slowing of uranium enrichment.Israel, a close ally of the United States, has warned it will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, making its own preparations for airstrikes. If the United States backs down, it is said to be "ready to attack."
(Raw Story, emphasis mine). I guess it is more scary these daze when the Israeli's pull no punches.

"You get the politicians you deserve." Very amusing, Agent 99. May I suggest you read Mussolini's THE DOCTRINE OF FASCISM (the complete encyclopedia article is available through worldfuturefund.org, whoever they are.)
Then compare the policies of George W. Bush.

Hey Dredd, I don't think the world will let Israel do that either.

Crikey, Cyteria, good idea, and here's the link for anyone else interested... for anyone willing to endure the doublespeak....
Struth, Ancient! We should be showing this clip to our military and police friends... along with whatever other material we think will help them keep the picture in mind.
(I'm just imitating an Australian here.)

Great find, 99!
Under Fascism, they have only one candidate on the ballot.
Here where we're free, we have two.

"Fascism is Fun!" I'm sure this is old news to some but remember who B2's granddad is? If you study the presidency of B2, you will find a stunning resemblance to that of H, particularly the way both rose to power, and the means they will use to keep it. As much as I like to dream of life after B2, current events are not pointing toward his departure anytime soon. Just one more "attack" here, and it's as good as done.
p.s. The reason I use "B" now instead of "Bush" is the same reason my friends in the Netherlands use "H" instead of "Hitler". They consider it disrespectful to even mention his name. I do too.

An excerpt from Il Duce's Wikipedia entry:
The assassination of the socialist deputy Giacomo Matteotti, who had requested the annulment of the elections because of the irregularities committed, provoked a momentary crisis of the Mussolini government. The murderer, a squadristi named Dumini, reported to Mussolini soon after the murder. Mussolini ordered a cover-up, but witnesses saw the car used to transport Matteotti's body parked outside Matteotti's residence, which linked Dumini to the murder. The Matteotti crisis provoked cries for justice against the murder of an outspoken critic of Fascist violence. The government was shocked into paralysis for a few days, and Mussolini later confessed that a few resolute men could have alerted public opinion and started a coup that would have swept fascism away. Dumini was imprisoned for 2 years. On release he told others that Mussolini was responsible, for which he served further prison time. For the next 15 years, Dumini received an income from Mussolini, the Fascist Party, and other sources. This was clearly hush money, for he left a dossier full of incriminating evidence to a Texas lawyer in case of his own death. The opposition parties responded weakly or were generally unresponsive. Many of the socialists, liberals and moderates boycotted Parliament in the Aventine Secession, hoping to force Victor Emmanuel to dismiss Mussolini. But despite the leadership of communists such as Antonio Gramsci, socialists such as Pietro Nenni and liberals such as Piero Gobetti and Giovanni Amendola, they were incapable of transforming their posturing into a mass antifascist action. The king, fearful of violence from the Fascist squadristi, kept Mussolini in office. Because of the boycott of Parliament, Mussolini could pass any legislation unopposed. The political violence of the squadristi had worked only too well, for there was no popular demonstration against the murder of Matteotti.
Food for thought.

I've just won an all expense paid trip to camp FEMA... says here "You'll enjoy a labor of love in our state of the art Halliburton built facilities; permanently. And don't you worry Casanova... only young, vibrant people allowed here... the weak and elderly will be purged for the benefit of the sTaTe. Well guarded by Blackwater & co. , you'll feel that extra sense of security; so safe you'll never want to leave! The first 45 million political activists will receive relaxing "rejuvenation" in our new and improved shower facilities. Daily teachings and adjustment by Kommander Kissinger, Saturday night smores and storytelling with Craig, Sunday service by Coulter ; mandatory. See you there!" I can't wait.

Katie Couric is in Baghdad:
Couric was given a tour of the Allawi market as a sign that things in Iraq are improving, though she concedes that her account of "normal signs of life" and lack of blood and bullets, compared to a January offensive that occurred at that location, are "what the U.S. military wants me to see."
(Raw Story, emphasis added). Isn't it a little strange that here bosses send her on a propaganda tour just when the September Report Propaganda is due?
I'll take Agent 99 over that BS anytime, but we can't risk sending 99 there ... so ... whatever happened to our reporter in Baghdad? Think she had to flee Iraq to save her life?

Not often have we said that Dennis Kucinich is a big winner in a poll but today we can. His 5% is better than the 4.9% margin of error in this poll! Congratulations Dennis, you are polling better than a dead guy would. Although we make light of this, the reality is that Kucinich really should feel proud of his performance at this poll.

I always appreciate an audience, Agent 99, and so I composed a long treatise comparing Geo W. with Mussolini's encyc. entry on Fascism, citing such things as the Doctrine of Perpetual Warfare, and Corporate Syndicalism, and even some background and Connecticut scuttlebutt about W's grandaddy, Sen Prescott Bush and his investments with the German Defense Industry before WWII, but, alas, I hit the wrong button and it all vanished into the ethernet. Sorry, 99. This is all you get.

Way cool, Bob. Yer welcome. I just love those spritely little sound effects that go along with his soothing voice. I am made weak with mirth over truly world class black humor and this one qualifies I think. Rabidly anti-fascist as I certainly am, I never grow tired of this video. Struth!
