Speaking of semblance and balance, Al Gore says that some things the MSM does are "scary", but seems to retreat from consideration of the notion of unfair elections when others do not.
I appreciate his pointing out that the press can be scary when it cuddles up to big dangerous government. Yes, I am glad that someone who a lot of people listen to puts that out there.
Because some of the loonies who get behind a keyboard and send mental data thru the wires do not have a clue that they can contribute, promote, and even bring about great destruction and mass death.
Iraq is an example. Global climate change is another example. Some in the press poo poo global warming.
And, at one time early on in those pre-invasion Iraq discussions, the MSM was all tickled pink about the prospects of an invasion of Iraq. And their prospects of being embedded deeply into it. It was scary.
Yes, they took MSM involvement in an invasion personally, and with that they took the "free press" involvement to "scary" new places the press should never go.
They just have no idea that they can contribute to the eradication of life on this planet by spreading the faux snooze that war is for heroes and the best people on earth. Or that global climate change is a myth.
But in reality, war is mainly for madmen and madwomen, as history teaches those that read it closely, and global climate change can bring down the largest of empires without much effort.

Thanks Brad, for continuing to think of us here down in San Diego as we continue the never ending battle against the wingnut onslaughts. Hope you and Dredd are having a good time! My boss just got back from Oregon. I think I need to take a trip up there. I need a vacation!
Was happy to see I could provide you a bit of theater in your KLSD thread wearing my V mask at the station protest day (Yup, that was me with my "Enough" sign as well)... Hope you can get a lot of fresh air and can get a timeout from the cigs! Enjoy! It's hot down here!

Brad --- Thanks for the day brightener! We sure appreciate your help publicizing the battle to save Air America here. Latest foray is citizens are organizing a campaign to contact KLSD advertisers.
Looks like you're having a relaxing time in Colorado - it's gorgeous up there! I never saw any bears when I visited that area, but did have some close encounters with bighorn sheep and mountain goats.
We'll swap critter stories next time you're in town.

Welcome back. Every time I'm at or near 10,000 feet, I get reminded how much I enjoy smoking cigarettes. Stupid ass habit if there ever was one. Remember this woman? I'm about there myself. The most ideal place for a smokers rehab would be at 10,000 feet. It sure would be easy to catch the escapees. I'd bet that someone could make a fortune with such a business.
