Friday, 7:45pm ET: After a last minute appeal by Trump, an Appeals Court rules his name must come down tonight!
7:50pm ET: Shortly after the ruling, a double rainbow came out over the Kennedy Center. Seriously.
Saturday, 1:15am ET: Following hours constructing the scaffolding, and more than an hour after Trump’s name was supposed to be removed by court order from the building, workers began hoisting up curtaining to hide the removal of the letters.
2:00am ET: The Acosta live stream below reports that the Kennedy Center has now requested a 12 hour extension for the removal of Trump’s name. It was reportedly granted by the court. Were it not for the addition of a curtain, it could have been done hours ago.
As a commenter elsewhere observed, the ten hours it took to build scaffolding to set up the curtains are solely to protect Trump’s tiny little ego. A cherry picker was used to put up the letters. It could have been used to take them down as well. But he doesn’t want anybody to get photos of the letters coming down. What a loser.
Don’t know if the streamers will keep on streaming or not, now that the entire sign is obscured, but I’ll leave this item with the links below to the live streams up anyway overnight….

Who gets those letters after they are removed (assuming they HAVE been removed)?
What would that “D” be worth? Or that “T”?
