Gay republicans. Theres a concept i really dont undestand. i never understood working class conservatives but people who really know they are a target is insane. To coin a phrase from JC Watts' dad a gay person voting for a republican is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders. Its one thing being a target its another standing still for the bullet.

I have a theory on this, but I'm admitting I have no facts to back it up other than my observations on these blogs over the last few months. I am starting to think more and more that to conservatives, "liberals" are associated with unions, taxes, and Canada.

I laugh when I say this, but apparently, it seems a conservative's biggest fear is turning into Canada. So gay or straight, they have this idea tattooed in their brains that liberal equals bad and conservative equals good. Maybe they are afraid they wouldn't make as much money or something... And to them, being a social target is less important than making money.

So the impression I'm getting (since I'm called a commie on a daily basis) is that being a liberal means giving up the dollar.

And another thing I'm starting to think (and maybe I'm just going overboard here) is that some conservatives *know* the reason Iraq is being invaded is for oil and they are okay with this. Killing people so that the US can have more $$ and power is okay to them. Mind you, they would never go and admit this (in person or even online), which is why they come up with the whole "we are liberating them " bullshit.

Honest. I'm really starting to believe this. I hope you don't take offense.
