Senate vote today: the republicans filibustered the bill that would require the Secretary of HEW to negotiate the lowest prices for prescription drugs paid from the US Treasury.
The republican led 109th had passed a bill that requires paying the largest prices for prescription drugs with taxpayer dollars.
The republican filibuster thus continues what one Reagan Administration official calls Bush’s Bankrupting of America.
