Yes, the one-person-one-vote principle really is terrible, isn't it? Prevents people from voting freely! It's RESTRICTIVE!
With wholesale digital fraud via DRE machines a probable scenario, I don't think it's sensible to fret about Democrats losing one of their traditional retail-fraud avenues.

The most important question being....WHO instructed the poll worker to ask for a photo ID card?

Dan(#2) has it just right. What's missing from this report is:
"The Secretary of State then asked 'Who gave you this instruction?' and the poll worker answer 'My boss.' The Secretary then insisted that the 'boss' come forward and answer the question 'Did you tell this poll worker to demand photo I.D.?' When the Republican operative Poll Supervisor answered 'Yes' the Secretary of State said simply 'You are fired. And I will see you in court tomorrow for civil action on Voting Rights violations.'"
Oh, but that didn't happen did it? It was more like, "oh gee wiz, how funny."
What a lame SoS that is. Should have had the perp(s) arrested on the spot. If it was me, I would have had them SHOT.

Yes, Random Rightee.. It's the Dems out there trying to lie and trick the voters into showing up at the wrong polling stations. Oh, wait, no it's not, it's the RIGHT WING..
And, I recon you don't give a shit about the rule of law.. since the LAW says that the poll worker can NOT ask for PHOTO ID (yet you fucking morons keep talking about it like people are sying there should be 'no id' at all..) yet you support shitting on people's RIGHTS, regardless of what the LAW is.. right?
And you terds wonder why most intelligent poeple dispise you. The most bottom of the barrel that humanity has to offer are the most ardent Right Wing supporters. Amazing.
And, yes. That's the bit that's missing from the article. The bit where the SoS demands a name, and fires everyone who VIOLATED THE LAW. I'd also be curious if that poll worker was allowed to continue lying to and fucking over the voters..
ID is a good thing, demanding a PAID FOR ID is a poll tax. As soon as you morons on the right get that, the better off we'll be. And please stop with your crybabying about 'liberals engage in voter fraud' when you fucks are out there engaging in election fraud and massive illegal disenfranchisements, ok shit-stick?

Hey Brad, I just saw that "Thor" Hearne is going to be on C-SPAN tomorrow morning which would be Tuesday 11-7-06. So everyone should call that show and ask some real questions: Washington Journal 7:45am EST.

I just voted in St.Louis, MO. A notice on the polling place door CLEARLY SHOWED the several types of ID accepted. I chose to use my voter card mailed to me by the Elections Board. I was asked for my photo ID by an election official. Guess which party she belongs to? Yep-the Repugs! The Democratic election official came over and told the Republican official that my card WAS indeed acceptable. She tried to insist and was again told that the voter form was acceptable. I WAS LEGALLY allowed to vote without having to show my photo ID.
So, Random Rightie, are you voting in MO? You'd better be sure you have a photo ID when the Republican official asks you for one. Or you can just take your mailed voter card over to the Democratic official-who won't insist on illegally detaining you!

They tried that on me, too, last time. Same scenario. It's not even just voting either. Companies and agencies are asking people for more than they are entitled to ask, hoping you'll just freely hand over your privacy while you're so busy being compliant you forget to pay attention to what's legal.

A question to Random Rightie: And who have been the biggest pushers of those voting machines that may lead to "wholesale digital fraud"?

I mention my support of one-person-one-vote and voice a concern about massive vote theft, and get insulted for not being sufficiently anti-Republican.
Try to be pro-democracy instead of pro-Democrat, OK?

One-person-one-vote is not an issue, no matter who's working hard to make it an issue. That's just a front for voter intimidation tactics, and it is clear to anyone not looking to make bad guys out of the little guys.
Whereas, massive election fraud by use of Republican mandated and manufactured and rigged EVMs really IS an issue. It has allowed a coup d'etat, overthrown the Constitution, and enabled the slaughter of upwards of a million people.
You should not be insulted! You should be trying to get the facts straight and join us in trying to get our country back.
Here's some Republicans agreeing that EVMs are bad.

Agent99, WELL SAID!
Random Rightie, perhaps I was a bit......passionate, but I had just (10 minutes before reading your comments) returned from my voting experience. Thanks for listening.

Dont bother arguing about right and left, rep/dem, in the end, the country still goes downhill and the big guys behind the scenes rub their hands with glee.
