Diebold has now divulged that there were three software problems with the e-poll books used in Maryland in the primary a couple weeks ago. These poll-books were federally certified. Why were these problems not found when they were certified as part of a complete voting system? Is the EAC going to track the software updates and ensure they get inspected prior to use in other states, if Diebold even makes the corrections in other states? / Diebold has also now divulged that the same e-poll book failure in Maryland also happened in July in Georgia. How many other states are using these machines and will they be told of the failures? …

Above article from Utah prints this about our Lt. Governor’s Chief Joe Demma:

Demma said state officials aren’t ignoring bad news for Diebold, acknowledging “many problems” in other states. But the Emery County experience actually comes out in Diebold’s favor, he said. When Diebold came back to repair whatever Funk and Black Box had done, Demma said Diebold technicians found traces of Black Box trying to hack in but failing because of the machine’s advanced security.

And then fails to mention that BBV found security holes that were reported nation wide in several major publications for the first time!

The City Weekly is supposed to be the paper here that reports the stories the main papers won’t.

Yeah right! Print a couple of stories about gays or goth’s and you’re on top of everything I guess! Just like everywhere! UGH!

This absolutely IS grounds for law suit (Diebold’s abject failures). It is a faulty product and the people who bought it in good faith were hoodwinked. So where are the lawsuits? There should be a couple of dozen by now from mad-as-hell elections boards all over the country. Why should anybody have to depend on Kennedy and Pappantonio?
