Neoconvict
Maybe they decided it was too hot to try to flip votes in 24, and Feeney is making so nice to quell Democratic turn-out at the polls, and quell interest in poll watching.
Maybe Feeney is going to be indicted and is making nice to try to mitigate the damages.
Tons and tons of explanations... especially: They want to make us look like a bunch of hysterical tinfoil hat wearers... THAT might even be WORTH giving up one seat to them.

Dear Diary,
Today was a good day. Though it nearly killed me, a very good day. Here's what I did:
3:30AM - woke up, doused self in sunscreen, loaded car with supplies & cooler, and headed out.
4:00AM - arrived at 24-hour Walmart, purchased posterboards, markers, and a black cowboy hat.
6:00AM - After 90 mile drive, arrived at polling place. Set up table, made big sign saying, "Make sure your vote counts here", and affixed it to front of table, and attached large umbrella to table. Set out Clint Curtis signs, and was ready for business by 6:30. Spent next half-hour wishing I'd slept another half hour.
7:00AM - 7:00PM - This time was spent running around the parking lot to every arriving car, and giving the voters information on Clint Curtis, and attempting to sign them up on the votenow2006 website. Though baked by the sun, and soaked by the rain, we continued our mission all day.
7:05PM - Polls closed - watched closing until results were tabulated - Clint won in this precinct by 111-38. Over the course of the day we were successful in getting enough people signed up on votenow2006 that had something flipped the vote to a 51-49 Michaud victory, we'd have been able to PROVE it was fixed. Thankfully that was not the case. Still, we were extremely successful.
7:30PM - Leave for party at Broward DEC, 50 miles south.
8:45PM - Arrived at party!!! Participated in much jubliation as results came in on the races.
9:00PM - Clint arrives, and says to me, "What's with the hat?"
11:45PM - Arrived home - showered
12:00PM - Logged on Bradblog to relate my jubilation!!! I'm going to bed now, but though I'm exhaused I'm extremely excited about living to fight on in November. And that guy who said he'd run naked down the street if Clint won an election - well... I'm waiting to see the video!

Early congrats to Clint Curtis
With the measures Clint has put in place Repugs would be to scared to rig the vote, especially since the polling was pretty clear. Apparantly he needs a lot more phone volunteers to make free calls (from any state I think) for the race against Feeney. Don't have a home line. Am on mobile data and cellphone but if that changes will volunteer straight away if international is also free.
All Dem ( and even republicans especially in the Primaries )candidates should now copy Clints plan to verify the vote, making it very difficult for any rigging to go ahead unoticed.

I suspect that Feeney's playing nice because he is worried about Clint Curtis and what Curtis can say about Feeney's shananigans. It may be his strategy to try to make it appear to be such a clean and above board campaign from his side that Clint will look like the bad guy and dirty campaigner if he introduces negative stuff about Feeney.
Anybody out there think this is a possibility and, if so, that it could be effective?

Very proud of Mr. Curtis for saying that he wouldn't declare victory until every "precious" vote is counted.
I can give some out-of-state money to somebody who would say THAT.
I suspect he also won't do a kerry/hacket/busby if he loses, but will fight for every vote and be in court on the first day after the election if necessary.

I want to send out questionairres to the 6,000+ people who voted for Michaud, and ask them "why"? Does anyone have their addresses?
Also, just because Clint won, STILL check out discrepancies between the pre-election polls (etc...) and the final count. Kerry won the Pa. exit polls by 9%, and the final count there was a 6% swing towards Bush (that's a helluva lotta popular votes for Bush!!!).

I like this write-up, it makes the polling thing pretty clear when it comes to the msm reporting

"The news networks don't just report election news, they create it. But do they also conspire to control election results? Voter News Service (VNS) is a top-secret private consortium owned by ABC News, The Associated Press, CBS News, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News. It's current headquarters is in Brooklyn, New York. It's been around (under different names) since 1964. It's the only company whose exit poll results are used by the news media to announce the "projected" winners in races for the president, U.S. House and Senate, state governors, and select races."

How did Harris win her primary. Maybe shes a wiz with a PDA. Not likely, but she may have a corrupt accomplice because she's rich. Now people are in the know about how easy it is to Hack the machines all sorts of stuff might start to happen even in the primaries.
Washington may have distanced themselves from Katherine publicly but could it be that behind the scenes she has so much dirt on them they had no choice but to do a little rigging in her favour?

In a release sent by Tom Feeney's office:
“Clint Curtis is the craziest man in America. Serious times demand serious leaders and Curtis is not even in the same solar system as the rest of us. With tinfoil hats in hand, black helicopters swarming, and purple Martians landing, this election promises to be more entertaining than Saturday morning cartoons.
“I have worked hard for everyone in our district, and I’m confident that rational Democrats will come out and support me. With rational Democrats supporting me, this will be an 80-20 election,” said Feeney.

I'd like to give my thanks for comments related to my previous post, but I must also object to any undue praise. I am not "The Man". That title belongs to Clint Curtis! Further, I was but one of a large number of dedicated volunteers who spent yesterday at random places in the district, working to ensure that if tampering took place we'd be able to catch it. Lots of people have put in lots of hours to make this happen, and I'm just proud to have contributed to a small part of it. Now the real work begins, as we face in two months an election against a much better funded, and extremely crafty opponent. I'm doing what I can to help, and so should everyone. Come join us, and support the effort to elect Clint Curtis!
P.S. There was zero mention of Clint's victory in today's Orlando Sentinel newspaper, which of course listed the results of all the other local races.

Re: Floridiot at #46
That does explain the 0% in precincts reporting, depending on the EMS system used, and how it is set up. In a typical election, each machine assigned to a precinct must have its numbers in for the precinct counter to increment. Now if absentees are set up as a virtual "machine" in each precinct, then no precinct will be "in" until its absentees are. There are ways around this, but if this is the way this particular county set up its files, then that's pretty much the explanation.

Big Dan - there is definitely a black-out on Clint. Bloggers, do what you do best. Flood the internet chats and communities. Drop his name everywhere.
Don't just sit there!
And, anyone who wants to help, doing phone calls etc, sit tight. Clint's team has pulled this primary off by speaking at all the dem clubs and speaking to UCF students and the one sided debate on PBS. But the General against Feeney will be harder. Feeney is running scared, but has laid his 100 page binder out to all media units with Clint dis-information...
Any information sent thru clintcurtis.com is getting thru. Sit tight.
