Still catching up on much from while I was gone. Here’s an exchange from The Daily Show with Stephen Colbert in the anchor seat while Jon Stewart was away having a baby.
Colbert asks Rob Corddry about the choice of Edwards for Veep:
CORDDRY: If anything, the announcement only cements Kerry’s reputation as a flip-flopper. First he doesn’t have a running mate…now he does have a running mate… I mean, make up your mind, man.
And Stephen it’s been this way the whole campaign. Today he’s in Pennsylvania. Tomorrow Ohio. Then New York!…What’s he gonna campaign in every state?! … You can’t have it both ways.
COLBERT: So, his traveling to different states saying different things is an example of flip-flopping?
CORDDRY: Blatant flip-floppery of the highest magnitude, Stephen.
…And as to how things will go for the John/John duo from here…
CORDDRY: For now…this MASSACHUSETTS LIBERAL and WEALTHY TRIAL LAWYER seem pretty undefined. It’s their mission to go out there and explain their vision to the voters. And it’ll be interesting to see how the Republicans try to label the MASSACHUSETTS LIBERAL and WEALTHY TRIAL LAWYER over the next few months.
But Steven, one thing’s for sure: MASSACHUSETTS LIBERAL…WEALTHY TRIAL LAWYER. Stephen?

Seriously, though, this skit was quite good. Colbert was recently on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and was, i thought, amazing.
Really? Playing a "straight" role, I assume?
The best comic actors are also usually the best straight ones as well (as opposed to vice versa), so I’m not surprised.
