Humor helps. For many in the population, it's the best way to reach them.
This is good. Jon Stewart is good. Stephen Colbert is good. All the jokes that are made about this crime, even though they may at times make it seem like they are "making a joke of it" are actually good and serve to raise the important issue of ELECTION FRAUD to the forefront of consciousness.
Print this out and leave it around. Scotch tape a copy above the urinal and on the back of the door in the bathroom.
BE PROACTIVE! Spread the word into MEATSPACE --- don't just blog it.

FYI, there are exactly four states where Bush maintains 50% support or higher...Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nebraska. Not exactly the intellectual breadbasket of the nation. "So where did you nutjobs come up with the idea that I "Hate America""
That would be because you advocate stealing elections (or, at least, you said you do.. if you "meant" it is another question..). Anyone that advocates stealing elections, or unfair elections, or preventing legal voters from voting, is AGAINST the premise of this country, and therefore would be rightly presumed to "hate America".
Much like you can't see how facts and truth are on our (that being "kooky moonbat liberals", apparently) side, you will never see how pathetic of a human being you are, nor will you understand that you "hate America". You (seemingly) have no interest in a government "of the people, by the people, FOR the PEOPLE".. Since you don't support the American philosophy of Government, you hate America, and should probably just leave. Anyone that lives here and doesn't support the laws and basic principles of this country don't deserve to live here.
As a side note, FL.D... Wasn't it shown, long after the 2000 election, that the "full count" in Florida bore out that Gore actually won FL? but since the government refused to do the count, it was "dismissed"? I know, I know.. you have 100s of reasons why "that isn't accurate".. You will ALWAYS have an excuse, which will almost -never- be rooted in fact.. because the FACTS tend to be your enemy.. much like American ideologies of a government of the people, by the people, for the people.
I recon you're the dildo trying to convice the guy reading the mag that "just be an ignorant oaf! it's fun!".. but, we're not that dim, here. You won't sway us from persuing the truth because we're not weakminded vain dipshits like you and your buddies. No, really, reiterate about your "well paying job" and taunt us with tales of your BMW, Mercades, big house, fancy watch, spiffy clothes.. Really, please do. Hey Savantster,
NICE TRY !!!
I love how you "nutjob" liberals just make a story to fit your agenda. The FACT is that a comprehensive study of the 2000 presidential election in Florida suggests that if the U.S. Supreme Court had allowed a statewide vote recount to proceed, Republican candidate George W. Bush would still have been elected president.
The National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago conducted the six-month study for a consortium of eight news media companies, including CNN.
AND BUSH STILL WON !!!

Oh.. FL. Dave.. you sneak.. your link has this in it too
"Use of Palm Beach County standard
Out of Palm Beach County emerged one of the least restrictive standards for determining a valid punch-card ballot. The county elections board determined that a chad hanging by up to two corners was valid and that a dimple or a chad detached in only one corner could also count if there were similar marks in other races on the same ballot. If that standard had been adopted statewide, the study shows a slim, 42-vote margin for Gore. "
Basically, if they were to "give a wide berth and include as many ballots as they could", Gore won by a few..
Your study ALSO says, 2,200 ballots were still NOT counted (in their study).. wonder why? and, the "final" adjusted for Shrubby to win by 493 votes.. seems 2,200 missing is pretty "significant".
Still gonna look for the "other study".. just thought I'd point out evidence to support my accusation about wingnuts liking to "distort".

Guess I'm done looking.. Your OWN source says this
"According to the study, 5,277 voters made a clean punch for Gore and a clean punch for Reform Party nominee Pat Buchanan, candidates whose political philosophies are poles apart. An additional 1,650 voters made clean punches for Bush and Buchanan. If many of the Buchanan votes were in error brought on by a badly designed ballot, a CNN analysis found that Gore could have netted thousands of additional votes as compared with Bush."
Moron.. In other words, IRREGULARITIES and POOR ELECTION MATERIALS (based on reports of those saying these caused their ballots to be wrong) puts GORE as the winner, yet you pretend that since the summation by CNN, using the STRICTEST ruleset they can, and discounting HUGE amounts of evidence bore out by VOTERS shows your shitball won.
Once again, the Troll™ proves our point and shows they really ARE not worth responding to.
Paper ballots, hand counting. If it was KEPT SIMPLE, the implication is that Gore won Florida in 2000. Paper ballots, hand counting, and we'd have a system we could put a LOT more faith in, and a system less prone to errors (what the hell is with this "punch card system" anyway? and not cleaning out the chad trays??).

Joan, I think your daughters' experience reveals more than they realized at the time.
Anyone who would spit through the window of a stranger's car, simply because he didn't like the sentiment expressed on the car's bumper, is sick. Not merely angry, not in any sense a "conservative," but sick...unable to control inner demons that govern his behavior.
Likewise, anyone (like Florida Dave) who would advocate election fraud even while pretending it didn't happen before (see posting #3) has a problem with his inner demons. What's the genesis? A father he could never please who called him a sissy when he was a kid? Maybe. A "liberal" boss who fired him from a job, in his mind unfairly? Maybe. The father of a girl he once dated who told him he was an ignorant redneck who wasn't worthy of his daughter? Very possibly. One of the three, I'd wager.
People who spit at strangers and advocate election fraud in print aren't happy in their own skin. So be it. But one word of advice for your girls...if they're spat at again from another car, have them take down the license plate. That's at least harassment, and maybe assault. They don't have to accept it. And in any other state but Florida and Ohio, advocating election fraud would be worthy of an investigation. Well, maybe Utah, too, but only if a Democrat did it.

And that's even without considering all the disenfranchised voters who were denied their franchise. Gore won Florida by A LOT, if every voter who wanted to vote had done so, and every vote had been counted fairly.
Jimmy Carter said 1) he wasn't convinced that Kerry won in 2004, but that 2) Gore definitely won in 2000. Now I suppose we'll hear from trolls that Carter is a dumb liberal, or something...but only where #2 is concerned.

And I agree, there's definately something wrong with someone that can't control themselves in such a situation. Abusing someone because they excercise their rights and aren't infringing on yours is a problem. In fact, it's criminal as well as demented.

Many leftists cling to the myth that Gore won Florida despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. John Fund, in 'Stealing Elections,' detailed Democratic fraud in Palm Beach County that cost Bush roughly 15,000 votes. None of you care, of course, because your side, the side that stole a Senate seat in South Dakota in 2002 (Byron York provided exhaustive documentation of that crime in National Review) and a governorship in 2004, commits the great bulk of the vote fraud in every election.

IMHO, the Carter administration was the best, in my lifetime, of providing the citizens with their human rights. It's all been downhill since... and seeing that Reagan 'won' the election by arranging for US hostages to be held LONGER (treating with our enemies = treason) is just another example that we are at the mercy of a tyranical regime who will do ANYTHING to gain/maintain power. Bush I's pardoning of all the Iran-Contra people was the epitome of AntiAmericanism... declaring that partisan treason (= sedition) was acceptable. And now we've got a 'son of a Bush' that is so radically right that even his FATHER thinks he's gone too far... and which incorporates many of the Iran-Contra ideologues that despoiled the first Bush regime (Ex-CIA chief becomes president... excessive Intelligence powers vs. Citizens?) OMG can the majority of Americans be so WRONG? No... they've had their democracy defiled by a corrupt process, and must now ARISE to reestablish a TRUE democracy!
Discussion of OT 'child abuse'? Bush II is a great case for 'retoactive abortion'! BaBa should have pressed 'reset' on this one! Don't the NeoCons favor 'Social Darwinism'?... since even BaBa said he's the 'dimmest bulb' of the lot, we might improve the human genome by eliminating this contribution... "The FACT is that a comprehensive study of the 2000 presidential election in Florida suggests that if the U.S. Supreme Court had allowed a statewide vote recount to proceed, Republican candidate George W. Bush would still have been elected president. "
(which has been so completely disproved as to be the intellectual equivalent of saying "the world is flat" and which totally overlooks minor little things like a 45,000+ differential in "spoiled/voided" ballots in favor of Gore)
or
"John Fund, in 'Stealing Elections,' detailed Democratic fraud in Palm Beach County that cost Bush roughly 15,000 votes."
(which attempts to paint the massive screw-up of the butterfly ballot as an attempt at siphoning votes away from Bush when in reality it stole them from Gore)
COME ON!
These people do NOT deserve to use THIS forum for their lies, deceptions, vile propaganda, and trolling. They should stick to National Review and freepers where they belong.
Let's clean up these discussions. If you don't have the time while you fight "The Battle of the CA-50th" then please assign it to someone. I hate to see these good threads destroyed by trolling or poisoned with lies.
Not everyone has had the benefit of reading Friedman, Palast, Conyers, or Fritikas. Allowing those who haven't read the truth to see posts here that seem to offer "two different views" about election fraud and who is perpetrating it, is, in my humble opinion, an error in judgment. Just as there is no "opposing view" to gravity or the roundness of the earth, there really isn't any valid opposing view to the vile methodology (and the success of it) of election theft by the Republicans in 2000, 2002, and 2004.
Please give this proposal your consideration.
Thanks.

So Charlie L. thinks anything that he doesn't agree with is a "lie". Here are 2 more articles about the recount in 2000.
It's very obvious that Charlie L. has a closed mind and he is not open to debate.
Maybe Charlie would like to take Rush, Hannity, Savage, O'Reilly off the radio. And maybe Charlie would like the Gov't to take FoxNews Channel off of cable TV. (HINT ... that will never happen).
ANALYSIS SUGGESTS VOTE RECOUNT FAVORED BUSH
February 26, 2001 - MIAMI, Florida (CNN) --- In a post-election analysis, The Miami Herald suggests that George W. Bush likely would have won the presidency outright if Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris had allowed South Florida counties to complete manual recounts before certifying last November's election.
The Herald, on its website and in a front-page story today, said that Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore would have not have gained enough votes in the recount of Miami-Dade County "undervote" ballots to overcome Bush's lead
http://archives.cnn.com/...26/miami.herald.recount/

BUSH STILL WINS IN FLORIDA NEWSPAPER RECOUNT
April 4, 2001 - MIAMI, Florida (CNN) --- If a recount of Florida's disputed votes in last year's close presidential election had been allowed to proceed by the U.S. Supreme Court, Republican George W. Bush still would have won the White House, two newspapers reported Wednesday.
The Miami Herald and USA Today conducted a comprehensive review of 64,248 "undercounted" ballots in Florida's 67 counties that ended last month.
Their count showed that Bush's razor-thin margin of 537 votes --- certified in December by the Florida Secretary of State's office --- would have tripled to 1,665 votes if counted according to standards advocated by his Democratic rival, former Vice President Al Gore.

They've got all the trolls out in force working on slightly different areas; Mike J., Florida Dave, Phil McCracken etc---all trying to plant the seeds of doubt about election fraud.
They know BradBlog may be getting more visitors because of recent events in the news & they're here for damage control.
They don't have to prove anything. Their goal is just to create doubt where there used to be certainty in people's minds.
The reason it's important for them to create doubt is because people don't get mad, take action & demand change if they're not SURE about an issue. They don't want any fired up citizens demanding action.
So they just invent studies & polls etc. that sound official & suit their purpose--so some will wonder if what BradBlog says is true. They know most people will never check on what they say for accuracy.
Nefarious intent should get you kicked off.
One troll tactic I dislike the most is when they try & worm their way in as such nice & reasonable guys---all the while trying to subvert Democracy.

The first finding that Florida Dave cites, that Bush won Florida after all, was later debunked by a far more thorough and comprehensive research project conducted by a media consortium. It found that Gore won, based on the votes actually cast.
But that finding understated Gore's margin by a lot, because it didn't account for the tens of thousands of voters who were removed from the rolls illegally by Katherine Harris in the months preceding the election. Estimates are that 88% of those denied their franchise would have been Gore voters.
Gore won the 2000 election. Anyone who says otherwise is impossibly dense or a troll engaged in childish taunting.

Read waynemadsenreport today. Govt. is putting people in jail who know too much, soviet style. Me277anwhile, our progressive blog news. Jerome of MyDD and Kos caught selling junk stocks. Kos emails FDL and asks her not to mention it, repub style. Armando of Kos is said to work for a law firm that represents Walmart. Such as this, is the reason the so called progressive blogs were surprised at the RFK Jr. article. Rather be rich than honest.

The REAL news, f. Dave, the REAL news...not corporate propaganda disguised as news.
Our local news today featured a local soldier speaking from Iraq to say that we should not believe what we hear about Iraq--that we ARE making progress & we need to stay there & get the job done. He said we're training the Iraqis to take over. Yada Yada..
I called the news director, "John", who said he had 50 years experience & asked him how he figured a blatant political advertisement for the war was "news". He said, "Well, I think an interview with a local soldier is of interest". I pointed out it was not an "interview", they introduced the guy & he just started talking, no questions were asked.
So I said, Well I suppose you're going to have an "interview" with a local soldier that's in Iraq who has the opposing point of view on tomorrow? He said, "Well, I don't know any other soldiers in Iraq & besides he did give an oposing view. He said he knew that some do not agree with him".
Oh please...
Then the guy pretended he WAS being fair, he wouldn't be here if he weren't--blah blah blah.
I told him why all the nonsense he just gave me was facetious, that his justification was very hard to believe & that if he loved his country he wouldn't be playing into the hands of the corporate media.

Thanks Laura. It's mostly just time consuming, but everyone can do it.
I need to write his advertisers & complain next.
Another local station does the same thing, (it's a Sinclair station). Before the Pres election in 2004, they ran political ads disguised as "commentary" that attacked Dems & talked up Repubs. over & over & over & put ads disguised as news constantly. Complaints were made. (That's when I first found out the Fairness Doctrine was dropped in the 80's when I complained to the FCC about them)
Anyway, some people organized & hit the station's advertisers. They were partially successful, because "Staples" dropped the Sinclair TV station. Of course, they still go on doing it today with other sponsors.
Every little bit helps.

Charlene #50 I think I'm in your neck of the woods (somewhat). I'm in the exurbs southwest of the city of Chicago. When there is anything I can help with let me know. I remember signing petitions against sinclair before the election. I also did some calling. So if you need hands to dial or feet to march let me know.

Thank you, neighbor! I appreciate your offer a great deal.
It must be sweet to be a patriot in Chicago simply because you have so many organized protests to pick from!
It's all uphill an hour south of Springfield.
The local newspapers are owned by individual families, not corporate, so you'd think they'd take advantage of their independence & tell the truth.
Nuh-uh.
They still won't print anything honest. It's all war propaganda, all the time. They won't print letters that don't go with the program. I decided I'll need to turn into a troll for Democracy & write one that sounds Republican, but slip a patriot message in, to get published. (Luckily, it's not that difficult. It's kinda fun.)
Yea, baby. This game works both ways!

Charlene, Wow I guess you sure are in the red neck of the woods. I'm also in a repub district, but I'm sensing a change in peoples attitudes here. I think it has a lot to do with the corruption. It is right in our own backyard and people are waking up. I've read your posts and am also pretty sick of the shit in this state. Did you here Durbin said on tv today that he would back Lieberman no matter what? I find that disgusting, if Lamont wins hes still going to back Lieberman..... WTF! I also have to laugh when I keep reading this stuff about Obama running in 2008 for president! What a hoot. I see him as very ineffectual and needing alot more experience before that possibility will grow legs and walk. I echo that Dems should be yelling their asses off on many issues that face us, but most especially voters rights and for true transparency in voting. I saw Feingold on MTP today, WOW he was on fire with leadership and not scared to answer any quetion Russert threw at him. He said that The American people WERE the Democratic Party not the entrenched in Washinton. I wish he would talk to ALL the voting issues facing us today. I think he may be the real deal(I'm keeping my fingers crossed), it blows me away that he takes no corporate money. Well off to do my gardening, Have a great day and I hope to talk to you soon neighbor.

Yea Laura, I agree Obama's not a mover, he's do nothing--except for photo ops & Leno TV visits that he pursues hoping to look Presidential. I don't care if Oprah likes him, she's wrong this time.
And Durbin! He has honed his skills so he can talk a convincing good game--but after all these years, his efforts never amount to anything.
He 'went Repubshit' when his office denied what he did to Clinton, a member of his own party, back in the day. He can't square it, so they just lied, like the Repubs do:
Durbin & 22 others co-sponsored legislation to censure then Pres. Clinton over his lies re Monika Lewinsky. All the while, Durbin hollered "No one's above the law!"
OK, fine.
But now, he refuses to join the censure for Bush! He has no excuse--so he's just saying he never did it back then, but it's a matter of record!
I guess it's getting so bad that now you have to go get the official records, stick it in their face, & say, "Yeah, you did" before they capitulate.
(Kinda like here.)
And the gubernatorial race is all twisted with Topinka (R) getting lots of free TV ads disguised as news.
I am glad ex-governor Ryan got what he had coming though.
I sure hope Feingold turns out to be real--for all our sakes--but just in case--I'm supporting Mike Gravel's "National Initiative". Not necessarily him, but his initiative. It could be the answer to the nation's predicament. Gravel2008.us
