#1 - I guess Cheney & Bush weren't lying when they said "this is the first I've heard of it" to investigators? mmm...so how did Scooter find out about it again? Why did Cheny have notes on his copy of Wilson's Op Ed with references to his wife?

#2 - I suppose DeLay is innocent just because he says he is......despite his staff being indicted.

#3 - I suppose Enron Execs were telling the truth when they claimed they knew nothing about the accounting games they covered up.

#4 - If the Administration was legit and truthful, Fox News wouldn't need to pass on the lies everyday to keep things from sinking in light of the actual news. See ArchiveofLight.com video entitled 'OUTFOXED' & 'CORPORATIONS' for some flavor on this. They also wouldn't have fetched a glamour boy from TV to be their front man for the BS. They also wouldn't have spent record amounts of tax money for the continual PR blitz defending their actions.

#5 - The companies are probably forced to lie, because anything else would be revealing that they did give the customer info out by order of the FBI, which, of course, would be breaking a serious ( and bullsh*t ) law.

I think we are more interested in the facts than what people are "saying". A CIA agent was fired ( as I understand it ) due to this program by finding out she was talking to journalists regarding illegal programs. If the government isn't directly monitoring the calls WHERE else did they get the info? Of course it was gathered via sources such as the phone companies that own the lines & generate the data.

I feel at this point the data is out for all to see pretty clearly. People who defend these actions are either naive, stupid, "in on it", in denial, or just too involved in their own little Seinfeld, American Idol, NFL & NBA lives to really care and get informed.

I had te privilege of hearing Ray McGovern talk on 5/12/06. I agree with him on Haydens unfitness for director of the CIA. Certainly the CIA has been used and abused in the past, but it does not follow that we should all sit back and say "oh goody here we go again". The Constitution of the United States is under attack by the current administration, the most serious attack in my memory(I am 64). My father was investigated by the House Unamerican Activities folks in 1951; so I have some experience with fascism American style. This is far more serious than even the witchhunts of that period. Pay attention! It is not the time for apathy if you love being an American.

They deny it and that was not covered at all by ABC TV news. So for those of you who watch the news network that claims "More Americans watch ABC News than than any other source", I wanted to provide the info that you don't see on ABC.

You can believe the companies or not. I really don't care. As a viewer, you should be given the opportunity to decide for yourself which you will believe. You should be shown both sides of the issue. But by not presenting the phone companies viewpoint, ABC NEWS has deceided for you what they want you to believe.

And that's my point. Get off the jerk behavior. See, I thought liberals were inclusive?
