Why is Debbie getting hate mail anyway? They think she's making her daughter do pageants but so what? I've met tons of people who say their moms made them take piano lessons. And they didn't want to. What's the difference? Whether you're doing pageants, piano lessons, gymnastics, dance, iceskating, ect.

I can think of worse things like moms not caring at all. Or even neglecting a kid. I think people who get mad about it need to get a life. And stop always bitching about things.

When Grandma Tye said she'd mortgage her house to keep little Emily in pageants I couldn't help but laugh. These people are just poor lost souls with somewhat misplaced priorities. Directing hatred toward the stupids of the world is pointless. Let the poor things tapdance and caterwaul their way into the Hall of Fame whichever way they can.

I would like to add that, of all the kids & moms featured, I like Jordan & Kim Mosely the best. They seem like down to earth, genuinely nice, intelligent people. The little has personality and talent and I wish her well.

These people are clearly psychotic. How can you move your seven children from a stable environment into a 2 bedroom apartment? How's that securing their future?? I really wonder if these people are dillusional because nobody that's on this show is going to be rich and famous. I mean that's pretty obvious. They really need to start living in reality!!!

I think parents that HAVE screwed their children up feel better puting down these families. I think parents of ugly untalented kids that will never go places state mean comments like the ones I see.

I think Emily Tye is so cute, i hope she continues winning pagents. Theres nothing wrong with it. My sisters dance and they have to wear costumes on stage, but there not being exploted. If Emily's mum didnt care about her why would she pay so much money on dresses and pagents? I wish Debbie and Emily all the best in The future.

i dont see why people freak out on the fact that pageant children wear make up and differant sort costumes. i am a dancer and i also help with dance classes teaching 3-7 yr olds at the dance shows the children are running around with full faces of make-up and costumes on and people think it soo cute but when its called a pageant their parents automatically get called sick
