I lived in New Canaan, Connecticut for 27 years, during all the years Ann Coulter was growing up there. I didn't know her there.
New Canaan is a heavily Republican town, but I never once met anyone in town with Ann's capacity for hateful talk. The local schools don't teach that stuff. For a long while I thought Ann's tongue was planted firmly in her cheek. There aren't many blondes in miniskirts who spout right-wing polemics, so she had an easy path to media fame because of her uniqueness. It all looked like an act to me.
But I no longer think she's kidding. I think she might have some kind of vitamin deficiency, or possibly one of the veins in her neck goes sideways. Possibly it's anorexia or bulimia; the girl doesn't look or sound well at all.

Yes, I saw the Fifth Estate's interview with her in which she insisted that Canada had sent troops to Vietnam. That was quite entertaining.
What wasn't entertaining was that I believe she also said something like "they are the enemy. If they're against us, they're the enemy" when discussing Americans who disagreed with current US foreign policy. I guess she's never thought much about how it was that Germany became Nazi Germany.... it was the same sort of "you're either with us or you're not a good German (or American)" mentality.

There once was a bi+ch named Ann Coulter
who hated all liberal culture.
If she had her way
She'd marry McVeigh

That guy who tried to pie her really should have thrown a bucket of water at her. I'm sure she'd melt in two seconds flat. Now I don't condone physical attacks, but I've tried hard to find any sane logic in her pro-right wing responses. Lies and insults are the only things that come out of this woman's mouth. She really makes it hard for any sane person to like her.

Yes, she's a destructive bitch. Why do the media use her? I guess they think it's "entertainment". Does anyone really like her?? She's probably a also a very lonely bitch. Maybe no one noticed her until she became really nasty. So, she's nasty to get attention - like a child who only gets attention when it's naughty.

As you know, I don't have a TV. And I am not interested in these cretins.
But can you believe that I've never seen this woman, nor have I heard her speak?
I prefer not to give them any power by paying attention to them.
She is nothing. But I agree with Bob Bilse.... She's sick.
What bothers me more is that a sick, sadistic man is representing my country abroad. And everybody is pretending that things are all right. They are actually touching him! Blechhhh!!!!!!!!!!
Someone told me that they got close to him and smelled a very bad odor.I still say the major achievement of these dignitaries is not puking up their state dinners.

Hi, Teresa - Yes, you are only missing a lot of unpleasantness by not knowing Coulter. So you are better off than those of us who have witnessed her incredible nastiness and meaness of spirit.
It wouldn't surprise me if Bush stinks literally. But there wouldn't be enough money in the world that would entice me to be in the same vicinity as Bush. He's such a creep. Yes, it is surprising those dignitaries managed not to puke or anything while in public. We can probably correctly guess what might have been said and done behind closed doors about that lousiest of presidents, and lousiest of human beings for that matter. Is he really human - I still think the neocons could be aliens made of green slime and assuming human form.

Oh, yes, Peggy, I agree. (#15). Except that maybe comparing aliens to neocons is denigrating the aliens. And I would add some other colors into the putrid mix (being an artist), if they even exist in the paint box.
But these nonhuman creatures are definitely missing the Family of Man brain chemical.
And as such, I think their survival is suspect.
Eventually, we will have to learn the lesson of sharing and cooperation to continue as a species.
And survival instinct always prevails.

Peggy #13 Cool. It is station S A N E !
Teresa #16 So we are both artists. Cool. You can tell when I haven't put any oil on canvas for awhile ... it struggles to get out ... and I become intense ... sometimes good, sometimes a bit this side of good. But the oil will flow! (funny how a simple piece of english can mean such radically different things depending on the reader) ...
I really think Ann experienced emotional incest. That is a term of art these days. I know of three books on the subject, but only mentioned one in my #5 above.
What is interesting is that it is at least as prevalent as obesity in the US. It is a national security matter ... which makes it a world security matter when this kind of disfunction begins to run the minds of people who can cause catastrophe.
Ann get help ... like your drug addict counterpart Rush did ... its not just for "sickos" any more ...

I liked to tune into Bill Maher's program, before he got 'dropped'. He had four guests and Toxic Anne the Coultergeist was one quite often, and other repub dudds like Kelly Anne and Fallwell, as a counterpoint perhaps, And I suppose to expose their vapidity.
One program Toxic Anne whimpered, "How come everyone else get so talk but I don't get to talk?" Her comments ranged from silly to stupid and she looked, in her shorty skirts like an aging bimbo and I thought she should be grateful to have her thoughts, at least, left unexposed to the defenseless public.
But, in her petulent manner, she(he?) insists on getting into full view blabbering ad nauseum and looking like-well, like an aging bimbo.

Cole, she IS an aging bimbo.
The scariest thing about Ann Coulter is not Ann Coulter. It's the fact that she's been given a forum for her narrow-minded hatred, and that she has so large an audience (most screwballs I've seen, nobody pays attention to their rants).
That's what we need to be worried about. I'm far more concerned about the mindless masses who buy into her/Limbaugh's/Hannitty's/O'Reilly's/Guckert's/Bush's madness. That's what is truly scary.

Wow, look at where this thread has gone! It makes sense now, what with our finding each other like this, that we share far more than political opinions. I too was raised as a cellist, but sadly the gypsy lifestyle I fell into precluded my dragging my axe around with me. But I like to write poetry and make jewelry and odds and ends out of ebony and (semi-)precious stones, and I've probably started more novels than just about anyone (perfect record to date: not a one finished). And when I'm feeling low I can always take out my tenor recorder and blow those blues away. One day we'll all have to get together in Pepperland for a proper blowout. How about the Saturday after we drive the swine from the WH and Capital Hill?

YEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All right... I think I've calmed down enough to speak.
Well it all makes total sense. No wonder the Bradblog is my favorite place in cyberspace. This is the artist's and revolutionary's haunt. I'm in the best company possible. I can't believe my good fortune.
Ann and the gang have scared us into finding one another. This is great.
I do everything, but I am a musician and songwriter by trade. I am a blues/jazz singer and keyboard artist and I've built an electronic music system with electric piano, synthesizers, and three drum machines. I am a one person extravaganza, and I write all my songs and make my stage clothes. I hate the dirty real world, however, and I gig only when I am broke. Unfortunately that time has arrived again, so I will have to hit the streets, and hope I don't have to consume too much Crown Royal in order to deal with it all.
Dredd, Peg C, Kes, Supersoling, I love hearing you talk about your work. We need an artist's thread to cover it in depth. Wouldn't it be wonderful to do a project together as this all gets rolling?
Supersoling #24.... cars are my weakness. I wish I had a fleet. My artist friend painted a wonderful Mickey Mouse on my 1970 Ford van, which I use to haul my gear for my gigs. He also painted it a beautiful shade of purple/violet/pink. Art on vehicles is a great statement.
Peg C, I love the cello, and the Skunk Hollow moniker. You do so much. I am impressed.
I knew we would all have a ball hanging out together.
Dredd #17..>But the oil will flow! (funny how a simple piece of english can mean such radically different things depending on the reader)
So true. And I go long periods not working on my music. I think that is just as important.
Kes...I think artists do all kinds of different things, usually. I almost went to film school but changed my mind at the last minute. I think the short story is one of the highest forms of art. It is my favorite form of literature.
The arts are so important to human existence. We have a responsibility to use our gifts. Especially in times like this. All this ugliness just fuels the artist's desire, and hopefully the public's appetite. We best be ready. I have such a hard time taking in this collective agony, and sometimes I want to run away from it all, but I know the best thing to do is to transform it into beauty.
That is why this blog is so different. All the creativity. What good is all this suffering without redemption?
And Horkus, thanks for the pic!`

Remember the 6'1" Tiny Tim and his Ukulele on Laugh In? Singing 'Tip Toe Through the Tulips' in faucitto (sp?) ? He was to be jeered, cheered and enjoyed all in the same sitting. Certainly not to be taken seriously.
Same for Toxic Anne-bimbo, looking male-ish in mini's, talking in venomous babble. How could anyone take it seriously (Great Pic of Anne #29)?
Therein lies our dilemma. How could anyone, much less 51% (if you can believe the number) of the voters take the bushmob and his Italian Farce government seriously? They should be laughed at then given the hook and yanked offstage.

Why is the media constantly victimizing Osama? He has always been a loyal servant of the CIA as a long time member of Americas Foreign Legion. He has even stayed out of sight since 911 and denied anything to do with this event. He has not criticized the two parodies made of him by Hollywood, one to keep the 2004 election fiasco on the networks and one chatting with his buddy in a tent. The governments of the World have not offered any evidence against him to the general public and there is no evidence that he has ever harmed an American citizen.
Is the Main Stream Media possibly sitting on other stories or evidence that we have not yet heard about Osama and the 911 attacks or are they covering up for the real culprits? Come to think of it I have not heard much about the New World Trade Center. How’s it coming along? I do wish there was more coverage on the progress and interviews with the locals to let us know how their respiratory problems and cancers are progressing after being told there was no danger to their health.

Odd post, Stephen. I'm not sure if you're joking, or not . Bin Laden mentioned being involved in the attack on The WTC in one of his last messages. I believe it was his last video, shortly before the election (going by memory here). I hate the neocon movement, and I'm against the present administration, but that doesn't mean I don't consider Usama a grave threat to innocent lives, such as my family (the fact that I consider the neocon movement also a threat to them is beside the point). He is what he is - a terrorist, who considers the murder of ANY American to be a moral, spiritual victory.

I'm sorry Ian, but I'm not sure that you're right. I'm absolutely shocked by the things that Bin Laden has done (just like I'm absolutely shocked by the things that Bushco have done), but I think that *he feels* that the terrorists are the Americans and that he is defending Islam. Case in point, the pointless murder of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis and the destruction of their country. Apparently he's quite highly regarded in a large part of the Arab world.
I don't recall hearing anything from Bin Laden about the WTC except for referring to it, through an aide, as "punishment from Allah." All MSM reports constantly say that he is the *main* suspect in 911, but then all MSM reports have totally ignored a lot of strange events occurring around 911.
And how hard could it be to find a really sick man if you wanted to? In fact if I recall, Bush said not too long ago that he didn't really care where Osama was. Course, he corrected himself shortly after.
We know what an excellent job this administration has done at fabrication and lying about just about everything. And how good they are at pointing the attention of the masses in the wrong direction while they play their dirty games. I can't help but wonder if Bin Laden is just another example. Can you? Can anyone?

Have to agree, in part, with Stephen #43--mostly because the bushmob in power was so quick to accuse Osama, and if anyone knows the bushmob to be truth tellers I will reconsider.
As Micheal Moore put it --'A guy sitting in a cave in Afganistan...'-clever guy, Osama, to orchestrate the WTC airline crashes, and the 3rd building being pulled because of fires due to 'collateral damage', from what(?) and had the 757 crash into the Pentagon without leaving any parts? And the failures to react to pre 911 warnings and the failure of the defences and a failure of bush to react when told--etc. Clever guy Osama to have a family so closely linked to the bush's.
The sudden release of the Osama tape within days of the '04 election? How convenient. Osama in a cave(?) background neatly draped off--what for(?)--
Verified as authentic, in bushmob record time, and quickly released!
Does anyone doubt that the tape, if judged by the bushmob as a late '04 bombshell which could damage the re-(S)election of george, that it would be allowed to go public?
If we cannot trust the bushmob who can we trust?
How about this Conspiracy Thoery--the election is going to be close, the public is 'expecting' a late October surprise (like the capture of Osama),
instead we get a tape. Almost like the 'mob' called Osama and asked for one more favor, but make sure the background is covered so no one will know which cave you are in.
Add to that the farce of an investigation of 911, with the Real Report --classsified??? Like the public has a right to know---in 50 years. or so?!
And george was so coomperative, even appearing before the 911 (With 'the dick'), no copy of that, no notes allowed, no nada---but george's own statement afterwords, "I had a good time."
If you cannot trust the bushmob who can you trust?
And if you can trust the bushmob, then what is all this blogging about? Let's all sign the bushloyalty oath and go shopping.

Miss Helen,
My apologies for the crudeness that is know as Ann Coulter, pseudojournalist
With the present state of general dissatisfaction toward nearly all newspaper contributors, ( I cannot bring myself to use the word journalists) the efforts that need to be put forth at this time to bring the public the truth they need to survive seem shamelessly wasted on inane bickering among inhouse talking heads and other worthless wasts of human flesh in the pen and ink business to keep the spotlight off things that matter. I can only hope for their early demise.
Coulter is one whose personal reputation is getting far more attention than it deserves. She is a vampire. Perhaps you have a stake and mallet in her size. Her remarks are almost libelous. Good hunting.
