Setting aside the extent to which the troubled author of the Ricin letters has been duped by a willful misinterpretation of the Second Amendment, I find it curious that anyone would believe that rights that are supposedly protected by the U.S. Constitution --- a secular document that mandates separation of church and state --- are "God given."

What lab was the ricin traced to? Not one whiff of an investigation. Unless you have more info, you are presuming a lot to say the letter had anything to do with a genuine threat to the illustrious politicians. Now Maddow gets hysterical over anything so her analytical abilities are kaput.
