But... but... but... in return that would involve Cheney et al exposing themselves to the same dangers that shared by the troops...
...good luck with that.

Can't imagine any of our soldiers would want to be in a unit with Cheney wearing an "I am Dick" T-shirt with a bullseye on it. Giving 5-deferment-Cheney something to actually sight on might get them killed, instead of wounded like Dick's lawyer friend.

Reminds me of the challenge the Iraqi deputy gave to Cheney / Bush before the war began. It was out in the open on TV.
The Iraqi official wanted Cheney / Bush to meet him and Sadaam in the desert with only pistols. They would solve the matter that way. No one else needed to die.
I hear that Bush declined because he knows Cheney is a bit trigger happy and did not want to go down by "friendly fire".

Bill Moyers hasn't actually got the point. The "I'm Harry" T-shirt has nothing to do with privilege. It's a reference to the "I'm Spartacus" scene from the film, Spartacus. The British squaddies feel very strongly that they should both share the danger that their comrade officer may be getting into as a consequence of his special (not privileged in this instance) status and, so far as they can, protect him from it.

I love Bill Moyers, but even when he covered the Monica Goodling story, he didn't touch on the "voter, (voting), fraud issue. I know that the best mystery is solved by the reader, but for crying out loud, this is our democracy, (democratic republic), isn't it!
Come on Democrats, just get on with it!
The truth, that is!
Bring on the truth!
CRUSH THEM WITH THE TRUTH! THE REPUBLICANS ARE STEALING OUR ELECTIONS. TIME AFTER TIME!
THINK OF THE CHILDREN, NOT THE CORPORATIONS!
Come on PBS!
