Why any decent person would want to vote Republican after all the corruption, lying and the trashing of your Constitution, is way beyond my comprehension..!!

Brainwashing - Mar - Brainwashing!
They start by terrifying the people, then present themselves as the only savior. All others are enemies who add to the terror.

I was just at C&L and saw this. Jeeezzzzuuuzz. You know back in November 04 I commented on a site that I could see the US in a civil war. If this keeps up it may happen. I hope not because that would fall into the plans of bush,Rove, Cheney, bin laden etc.

"Laura Ingraham has asked her listeners to call the Dem Voter protection hotline — and they are now being flooded with calls from crank callers. Please call Laura and tell her what you think about this: 800.876.4123."
I called but the line is busy but there is an email address on C&L.

Hello all. I'm getting ready to cast my invisible vote in my state of GA. For the last few days at home we have had brown-outs & a couple of power outages because of the weather - one today.
This is one reason it makes no sense to use electronic voting machines - at least to honest people who aren't actively out to STEAL votes.
Wonder how many power failures there will have been on voting days around the country ... And especially in my area where the power company seems to be strained under the great demand & prone to occasional failure even on bright sunny days.

Mick, as long as that "march" you talk about doesn't look like a goosestep, I guess we'll be OK

I voted at 9:30 A.M. in Southeastern Ohio (Meigs County) This was the first time I had to use an ES&S Optical Scan 100 machine. We had this machine for the primaries in May, but I was too disgusted to vote in May! (Blush Blush) First election I missed in 40 years!
Our precinct is small with only one ES&S machine. The poll workers are my friends and neighbors! We all know each other on a first name basis, in this small community. They were embarrassed to ask us for our ID's, but were forced to by the new law passed by our corrupt legislature.
I already knew how to fill out the ballot and use the machine, from studying it on the internet, but I asked a few questions before I voted.
QUESTION: I have never voted for unopposed candidates. Will the machine register "undervotes" if I don't vote for these candidates? Also, "State Issue 1" was disallowed in a last minute court decision. If I don't cast a "yes" or "no" vote on Issue 1, will that also be registered an "Undervote" by the machine?
ANSWER: Yes, the machine will inform you that you have undervotes, and ask if you want to "accept" or "cancel". Just push the "accept" button.
QUESTION: Will this invalidate my ballot?
ANSWER: Not at all!
QUESTION: I have never had to write in a candidate before, but I will have to do it this time in the U. S. Senate race. Both the Democrat and Republican candidates voted for torture, so I cannot vote for either one. Will the machine accept a write-in candidate?
ANSWER: Which candidates are they? I will show you on the ballot where to write it in.
QUESTION: Mike DeWine and Sherrod Brown.
ANSWER: Right here is a place to write in your candidate under the names of DeWine and Brown. Yes, the machine will accept a write-in candidate, but you have to fill in the oval beside the write-in candidate's name.
After filling in my ballot, there was one poll worker standing by the machine to help people feed in their ballots. Our ballots consisted of two pages (front and back - lots of issues and candidates-State & local!) that had to be fed into the machine one by one. The poll worker instructed me to tear the stubs off the bottom of each page, which she placed in a bin in front of the machine. This prompted my next question!
QUESTION: Will you be reconciling the machine count with the paper count before you send the results to the Board Of Elections?
ANSWER: No. We only send the machine count to the Board Of Elections.
I had to bite my lip on this one, even though I already knew the answer before I asked her. I had contacted our Board Of Elections last week with this same question, and received the same answer. I don't blame our poll workers. They are good people and are just following orders. Since SOS Blackwell has quadrupled the cost of recounts in Ohio, there won't be any recounts here either!
When I was finished feeding in the first page, there was no display on the machine for "undervotes".
QUESTION: Do I have to feed in both pages before the machine registers that I undervoted?
ANSWER: No, it should register for each page.
However, it didn't register my undervotes at all for either page! It just informed me that I was voter number 50! So, I would say that this ES&S machine is malfunctioning, but we clueless voters and poll workers will never know it. Since Blackwell will be tabulating the votes the way he wants them to read anyway, it really doesn't matter how the voters cast their votes!
Did I mention that the Democratic Party had petitioned the courts here in Ohio, to require that Blackwell post results precinct by precinct in each of the 88 counties? Well, that was overturned just prior to the election!
With the new HAVA (introduced by Ohio's own corrupt Congressman-Bob Ney), reporting each precinct is no longer needed the court ruled!
I can feel myself going back into DISGUST mode again!!

Sherry, I may be wrong about this (in which case somebody will correct me) but I think there is a SETTING on the ES&S Optical Scan machines that either KICKS BACK an ballot for correction or ACCEPTS AND VOIDS it when a ballot with errors (not sure if undervotes fall into this category) is put through.
IF this is set "incorrectly" it doesn't give the voter a chance to fix their mistake, and they never know that their vote wasn't counted. As a rule, this setting in Ohio is set to "kick back" in Republican areas and "accept and void" in Democratic areas --- nothing personal, just that our SoS (or is that SoB) wants to win at all costs.
Hopefully this isn't what happened to you.

Charle L # 9, I think you have hit the nail on the head! This is probably how our "SOB" set it up. I downloaded a video from the Meigs County, Ohio website and it showed exactly how this very machine is supposed to operate.
It is supposed to tell you if you have undervotes or overvotes. In the case of overvotes, you must obtain a new ballot from the poll worker and start over again, because overvotes will definitely invalidate your ballot. Our machine showed nothing at all on the screen, except my voter number! And, I am registered as a Democrat, voting for every Democrat that didn't condone torture!
Thank you for validating my suspicions!

Heard that exit polling says that government corruption is most mentioned topic with about 60ish % concerned........think Iraq was 4th on list.
Hope that's a good sign that the sheeple have FINALLY realized how they have been duped for years by BushCo and his minions.
