Good job of laying it out. By nature I'm combative and when provoked, confrontational. It's hard to change but I do work on it. In respect to the Repub Sound Mach. I'm about ready to endorse a response policy that would just simply ignore the pukes. With the way the MSM always spins the message to the right..........? Yeah, keep raising hell and do whatever to get our message out but just ignore the outrageous rebuttals. At this point in time I'm beginning to think that there are not that many more converts out there to save and bring into the light. I'm not promoting surrender, just attacking with ear muffs. It's probably just frustration.

W T F ???
A vote against the status quo is a vote for al-Qaeda???
Who knew that there were so many terrorists in CT??? WHO KNEW???
Q U E S T I O N:
History repeats itself for those that fail to learn from the past lessons that it teaches us. When will the Leaders of our world begin to learn from the histories that they create for themselves? This IS why American Foreign Policy creates radical groups that strike AT the USA and USA identified targets. According to the DoD, this "BLOWBACK" is calculated into that history that is created. Therefore, America CAN expect another 9/11 brought to us by the Administration that encourages militant organizations to fester and populate around the world BECAUSE of the mitigated "BLOWBACK" built into the foreign policy.
Ahhh, HELLO????
A failed foreign policy yields bad results. NO???
ARE AMERICANS CONTENT TO ALLOW THIS FORM OF GOVERNANCE TO CREATE HATRED AGAINST THEMSELVES, AMERICA, OR ARE THE AMERICANS GOING TO REQUEST, ASK, DEMAND A CHANGE IN THE WAY THE THOUGHT PROCESS PROVIDES TERRORISTS GROUPS REASONS TO ENGAGE THEMSELVES AGAINST AMERICA, AMERICAN, AND WESTERN TARGETS?
AMERICA, YOU DECIDE WHAT "BLOWBACK" IS ACCEPTABLE IN YOUR WORLD.
AMERICA, YOU DECIDE WHAT RESULTS ARE TOLLERABLE.
AMERICA, ANOTHER 9/11 IS OK IF YOU LIKE THE STATUS QUO.
AMERICA...............YOU DECIDE.

Now that the writing is on the wall, the republican dictatorship is becoming nuttier than a reichstag fruitcake.
Expect "turrism" and "insirgency" to increase in the fascist hope that "amurkans" will become scared as a result of their phoney facade.
And expect the Katrina Kids in the white house to try to convince everyone that it is everyone else's fault.
And expect them to lose bigger and bigger in the hearts and minds of Americans as time goes on.
And expect them to panic in November and try to hack the vote and steal key races so as to maintain their majority status in congress.
They have been planning this train wreck of American Democracy for a long time now.

I think we will be lucky if a nation wide hack is all they try. In fact I worry about us even getting to the polls to have our votes twisted. It is a good sign that the snail turds still appear concerned about retaining votes. If you detect that they no longer care about that angle, head to the basement and prepare for the worse case.

On Democracy NOW! just now, they reported that Karl Rove offered Lieberman "help". So, doesn't that mean we were right, to back LaMont? And doesn't that mean we were right, that Lieberman was too close to the White House?
Also, the Republican Noise Machine is useless, without the complicit mainstream media being their unchallenging megaphone. Thus, proving the MSM is also Republican-controlled.
Watch DISH 9410 LINK-TV and 9415 FSTV, where there are no "Republican talking points" in the news and media. Also, LINK-TV on directv 375.

Lieberman weighs in on the side of the bullshitters:
"If we just pick up like Ned Lamont wants us to do, get out by a date certain, it will be taken as a tremendous victory by the same people who wanted to blow up these planes in this plot hatched in England," Mr. Lieberman said at a campaign event at lunchtime in Waterbury, Conn. "It will strengthen them and they will strike again."
You're bloody right they will --- whenever and wherever "we" tell them to!

AND...they are saying the VOTERS are "soft on terror", etc... BECAUSE THE VOTERS, NOT THE DEMOCRATS, PUT LAMONT IN!!! So, the Republicans and their "machine" are saying the voters of Connecticut, not the Democrats, are "soft on terror", "friends with Al Queda", etc... Of course, the MSM doesn't point this out. They allow the talking point "the Democrats are......".
I thought this is a democracy, and the voters voted for LaMont, because Lieberman doesn't represent their views as well as LaMont! No! The MSM is telling us that the Ct. voters are "sinful". What kind of a country is this turning into??? Where the White House press secretary disrespects the citizens of a state they are supposed to represent?
But don't forget, it's the MSM allowing this. There's always nuts, they just shouldn't be on TV or in the news. Why doesn't a reporter say, "Aren't you calling the VOTERS these insults? Not the Democratic Party?"

All I can say is, that all of this proves we were right about Lieberman. Let's all give ourselves a pat on the back, and investigate how the vote was so much closer than the pre-election polls stated...ALWAYS, that is the case, and ALWAYS against the Dem vs. Rep or the Liberal Dem vs. a Conservative Dem...ALWAYS...therefore, not RANDOM!!! When something happens a certain way ALL THE TIME, it's not random.
As we all know, close to 100% of vote irregularities were Republicans making out and Dems getting screwed.
Here's something you won't see until we get rid of e-vote machines:
"AFTER THE DEMOCRAT WAS TRAILING IN THE FINAL PRE-ELECTION POLLS, THE DEM PULLED OFF A STUNNING VICTORY."
Doesn't that even SOUND wierd? It's because you never heard it before.
"THE DEM CLOSED THE GAP FROM 10% TO 1%, BUT STILL LOST". Never see it!
With the McKinney loss, did ANY report say, "Johnson gained 13,000 votes in 3 weeks from the primary to the runoff, to McKinney's ZERO." You won't see that, even though it happened. The MSM will say, "Johnson beat McKinney in the runoff." WTF? They don't mention the vote totals between the primary vs. the runoff??? Why? Because EVERYONE would say, "Huh???"

If you ask me the United States is rapidly becoming a "failed state".
These guys are pathetic, "Now, let me walk you through this..." and then come up with farcical comedy material.
Among other things, we should laugh these guys out. They sure are providing the material.
Hey, who's tired of being bullied? Are you?
Lieberman in #7 - Somehow, his words sound racist to me. I mean, be very afraid of the bad brown men. Let's not distinguish between Iraqi nationalists, CIA-trained "terrorists" or, probably, Hezbollah. Details and specific grievances --- forget it. Be afraid.
Be afraid yourself neocons. Your plans looked a lot better on paper, didn't they?

The only reason we are safe today is Britain is truly fighting terrorism. The twig is trying to claim victory on the coat tails of Scotland Yard. As General Clark said, "Despite what Joe Lieberman believes, invading Iraq and diverting our attention away from Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden is not being strong on national security." gw has had almost 6 years to fight terrorism, bring OBL to justice and here we are. In Iraq!! Yes, Lamont is right - get out of Iraq, let Iraqi's govern themselves - sink or swim, and we can regroup with other countries to truly fight terrorism!

The latest "bomb threat" is a Cheney/Rove plot to get the Lieberman loss out of the MSM. They knew about this for months. The "cell" was not ready to do anything but now we can't carry toothpaste. How does this prove that we need to fight "terrorists" in Iraq?

Lieberman was a big name that went down. McKinny was a little name that went down. I grieve for the democratic party that has been so mean and dismissive to a true progressive. When black people were on their roof tops and attics after Katrina, I called a lot of liberal lawmakers offices in D.C. The only staff that seemed to care was McKinny's. The theft of the primary vote in her district is somehow o.k. for way too many so called progressives. She had 1,000 people at the polls in the last election to make sure the starting vote was 0. Ga. passed a law that made it illegal for her people to do that in this election. If it weren't for this I would be a lot happier about Lamont's victory.

Information, correct information, has to precede action, if the action itself is to be correct. Only when enough have reached "critical mass" in full awareness of the atrocity that is being perpetrated on the world can we commence any sane movement to counterattack. What form will that rebellion take, WP? Who now knows?
But happen it must...

They're causing panic (what's new) about liquids you carry on the planes... they still don't check but 10% of the cargo. Countdown reported this, but I'de already heard it. Wonder if the terrorists know it too? And why are all these FOILED PLOTS concerning planes? Why aren't any involving the ports ? You know the places where only 4% of the containers are checked! But the $6.50 per is just too costly. And time consuming, 11 seconds for each one. And why aren't the Dems screaming about this themselves ?

Big Dan #30 those are my thoughts exactly.
When I turned on the TV this morning they were showing the tarmac at the local airport and before they said a word my thoughts went to "Oh crap, now what are they up to?" When they announced the "terror plot" I flashed back on the Florida/Sears tower "terror plot" from several weeks ago that turned out to be a bunch of wannabes yaking in an internet chat room.
Peg's #23 Column is surely frightening. Hopefully it has come to that, but I'm very uneasy about it.

John Dean has released an article describing a book which is something like two doctors diagnosing a patient. That patient is the congress of the US.
This is said of the patient:
These authors are not finger pointers, but they leave no doubt as to the root causes of the current situation. Two, in particular, top their list:
First, civil rights laws and the economic development of the South "broke up the coalition between the blacks and conservative whites that had allowed Democrats to dominate the region for many decades and eventually led to a safe Republican South," they report. The result was that conservative Southern Democrats moved into the GOP.
Meanwhile, the 1973 ruling by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade provoked the movement that "later would form the core of the Republican Party's largest and most reliable constituency - the religious conservatives."
...
What Mann and Ornstein very politely say is that what the House truly needs is for Republicans to get their teeth knocked out by voters who are disgusted with their agenda. Such a serious electoral defeat, they contend, "might trim the party's ideological sails and diminish the degree of polarization, while giving Democrats the self-confidence and incentive to work for policy change."

Hi, I couldn't find a good place to park this so I am using this thread for now. Hope that you pick this up, Brad.
While having optical scan voting machines is better than pure electronic voting for security and auditability - it's still possible to hand-count the ballots - it's apparent that the machine selected by the State of Connecticut can be manipulated to provide inaccurate results. Specifically, the memory card in the Diebold AccuVoteOS can be replaced by a malicious person with a card of their own and nobody would be the wiser. Vote tallies could be replaced altogether, or, alternatively, cards could be pre-loaded with totals such that additional votes could be added to pre-set values that would guarantee desired results. Further information about this particular model may be found at:
http://www.osvdb.org/17203
Machines do what they're told to do. I am concerned that there are people with vested interests in the outcomes of elections that would like to have machines do what THEY would like them to do rather than what the VOTERS would like them to do. I urge Wesporters to consider how these machines are going to be used and to review the history of Diebold. I find it interesting that the AP wire story on the State of Connecticut's selection mentions "a Massachusetts company" as the source of the voting machines:
http://www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?S=5242741
Whereas the Verified Voting Foundation makes it clear that this Massachusetts company - LHS Associates - is actually selling Connecticut the Diebold Accuvate-OS machines:
http://www.verifiedvotin....org/article.php?id=6379
Is the State of Connecticut trying to avoid the use of the Diebold name, knowing the significant controversy surrounding its products?
I am glad that the Verified Voting Foundation has helped to ensure that there will be at least a paper trail for verifying votes, but if the electronics of these machines are maniupated and votes are not verified then the equipment in use can allow elections to be stolen easily. Let's make sure that this is not the end of our vigilence as voters on this matter.
