Alaska is planning on finally turning over the voting files to the state Democratic party. It is hard to believe that what the party will get is going to prove or disprove anything now. In Florida the National Federation of the Blind lawsuit against Volusia Co. has been kicked out of the court. In New Mexico their voter verified paper ballot bill continues to move through the state legislature even against the scorn of some in the legislature and one stubborn county election official who may have staked her political future in her battle against verifiable elections. And the spigot of dis- and mis-information is wide open in Pennsylvania….

I just came across this and wonder if anyone can confirm that this properly reflects what happened in the 1980 Republican primary in New Hampshire.
If it does, then it hasn’t only been in recent Diebold years that people have observed the Bush "magic" at work.
"One who was caught up in the turbulence was William Loeb, the opinionated curmudgeon of Pride’s Crossing, Massachusetts who was the publisher of the Manchester Union-Leader, the most important newspaper in the state. Loeb had supported Reagan in 1976 and was for him again in 1980. Loeb might have dispersed his fire against all of Reagan’s Republican rivals, including Howard Baker, Robert Dole, Phil Crane, John Anderson, John Connally, and Bush. Loeb would launch a barrage of slashing attacks on Bush. The other GOP contenders would be virtually ignored by Loeb.
Loeb had assailed Ford as "Jerry the Jerk" in 1976; his attacks on Sen. Muskie reduced the latter to tears during the 1972 primary. Loeb began to play up the theme of Bush as a liberal, as a candidate controlled by the "internationalist" (or Kissinger) wing of the GOP and the Wall Strreet bankers, always soft on communism and always ready to undermine liberty through Big Government here at home. A February editorial by Loeb reacted to Bush’s Iowa success with these warnings of vote fraud:
The Bush operation in Iowa had all the smell of a CIA covert operation….Strange aspects of the Iowa operation [included] a long, slow count and then the computers broke down at a very convenient point, with Bush having a six per cent bulge over Reagan…Will the elite nominate their man, or will we nominate Reagan?"
Cheating has been going on ever since Elder Bush, its just a fact.

I just got done talking with the pennsylvania city council!!! They need calls and a swarm of response now, because Allegheny county and so forth is being pressured to adopt the machines. And I have had significant success in getting them to check out vote pad, but now its time to focus on my own state: Warzone Utah!
