Nothing could better demonstrate the utter child-like nature of the "progressive" mind. Don't like the war? Just send the troops home! Don't worry about consequences! This type of "thinking" is what scared enough Americans so that they showed up on election day and put Bush in for four more years. We cannot affort to let emotional child-like adults decide our country's future.

Thanks for the thoughts, Karla.
Though isn't it odd that you accuse "progressives" of being "emotional" in one breath, but then say it was "scared Americans" who voted for Bush?
Who are the emotional ones here, Karla? Not to mention that there is no proof, or reason to believe that even those "scared Americans" who voted based on their emotional fears, showed up in enough numbers to put "Bush in for four more years".
Though you're evidentally inclined to believe that based on emotion instead of actual logic and/or proof.

It was a joke, Karla. Its to show the simple qualities of George's mind, and spell it out for him.
I get the impression you completely missed the point there.

Brad, Karla
Exactly. Bushco used fear as a wedge issue.
Fear of terrorists, fear of being attacked again,
fear of homos,
fear that liberals=weakness=socialism=godlessness etc. etc.

Wasn't it the 'child like' mind of george that sent us to war without considering 'consequences'?
That was the result of picking a child candidate who fell off the monkey bars one time too many.

I wouldn't be surprised if Karla Stout is Karen Hughes.
Lets see, George nerd boy seems to have a girlfriend named Condaleeza Rice, Mary Matalin, and Karen Hughes.
Betcha he's happy now!

Karla I'm Australian and we have this saying "if you find yourself in a hole - STOP digging" and yes it's childishly simple I know but as the Downing Street Minutes show the Bush adminstration post-war plan was "childishly simple" -as in there was none!
As to the "Don't worry about consequences!" comment you made ,well if Bush had worried about the "consequences" in the first place we would not be witness to a rise in terrorism world wide like no other time in the history of the world.
Exit polls in the Ukaine showed election fraud but in the 2004 US elections were ignored ,making Bush the 1,000,000 to 1 chance president.
51,000,000 scared American voters - yea right.

The President of the United States and his Neocon associates lied to the people of the United States to send them off on a war of conquest.
More than that, the President lied to the US Congress in his letter of March 19, 2003 in which he claimed to have proof that Saddam was in defiance of UN Resolutions regarding weapons of mass destruction, and that Iraq had played a role in 9-11.

Yes, it is possible to leave Iraq now. I was in boot camp for ten weeks. Why has it taken over two years to train Iraqis and we are not close? If I ran for President (fat chance!), I would run on one issue: "Bring Our Children Back From Iraq" with a specific plan and completion date.
George W. will not do this because he wants the oil. Instead of pursuing alternative fuels, he has homesteaded in Iraq. It just cost a few thousand lives. George W. spent human capital to make his cronies fatter. He is trapped now with lies piling upon lies ad infinitum. His legacy will be: "WORST U.S. PRESIDENT EVER". Move over Warren G.

The US is building 14 miltary bases there. Bushco has refused many offers from other countries to help train the the Iraqi military. All of our soldiers will never be out of Iraq.
On a lighter note, I just posted on another thread. Raw Story has a breaking news thingy. Rove and Skooter lied to the FBI. Bloomberg will have proof at 12:00

Brad,
Yes, it was "scared Americans " who elected Bush. They were scared of a Kerry administration. The American people spoke, en masse, and they elected GWB. Thank goodness.

"They were scared of a Kerry administration."
Scared of what exactly ,at least that jerk (kerry) had seen the reality of war first hand and would have put his brain in gear before acting ,unlike the bush jerk who so far has done more damage than 911 .

Karla, what do you think would happen if the troops were pulled out and the Iraqi people were allowed to put their lives back in order on their own? After all the freedom fighters there would then have nothing to fight against if the occupiers (USA/UK) were to leave. Maybe they would start seeing the possibility of working for positive things there if the warmongers left. Maybe they could then get to the business of restoring the water, power, schools, hospitals, police, etc. because we would have left them to do what they can do better without us....did you ever think about that? Or are you too simple minded to think that the problem there is that they are angry as hell at us for killing their family members friends and other citizens destroying their lives and cities and trying to steal their resorces after having starved 1 million of their children and they desperately want us to leave their country. By the way did you know that the main reason for our being there besides the oil is to allow Bush's buddies in the war business to reap huge profits on non bid contracts and to build 14 military bases at the expense of the U.S. taxpayers here in this country who need the money right here at home. Why would you like the idea of your tax money being squandered to the tune of 300 plus billion dollars which seems to be no problem at all while social security 40 years from now is considered a big problem? Do you ever do any independent thinking or do you just believe anything from the crap that passes for government. Don't you see any connection between the war industry and the continued occupation of a country that wants us gone? Simplistic minds like yours are what is ruining this country. Over half of the people here have no education and do not even know where Iraq is, don't you care that the government is deliberately keeping you ignorant so that it can brainwash you? You think people voted for Bush but you fail to realize that half of the people in this country do not even vote, when you add that to the half that voted against Bush you see the clear picture that most Americans did not want Bush in the white house. Do you really think it is okay for one quarter of the people mostly illiterate to be somehow representative of the entire will of the American people?

Shannon,
When I see a person run 20 or 30 or 40 sentences & questions into one long paragraph, without a space or a pause, I wonder why they would think anyone would read it.
If you think like you write, it simply doesn't matter what you mean, as no one in their right mind cares.
