Move over Monty Python, cuz THAT was freakin hilarious. I'd love to see Billy-Boy (or any of the other "6 or 7" genii who still support/can't admit to failure of this war) explain how to reconcile that one breath with itself...not too easy, logistically speaking, considering that in that one breath he said that he admits the war to be a tactical error, and (among other things) that we have to stay there or everything will be bad. Soooper bad. Like, mega-ultra-'terrorists taking over Washington' *snicker* kinda bad. Sounds pretty bad there, Bill. God knows, I'm with you--can't have things turn bad now, can we? So how exactly, do you suppose we keep (actually, "make" would be a more appropriate word there) our overall outlay in any way resemble something good and true and even worth considering (much less fighting and dying for), by employing as our tool, our weapon, our "deus ex machina", if you'll allow the phrase as an allusion to the sanctity of Ol' Dub, but back to the question--using as our big huge terrorism excisin' scalpel, a failed "mistake" of a war campaign fraught with "tactical errors", I'm just curious how, tactically speaking, you intend to make the good stuff magically appear. You'll finally say out loud that this thing for which you clamored was a bad idea on top of which multiple tactical and judgemental errors have been piled...So now that you've taken this huge step toward joining us here, on this wonderful, but endangered planet we call "Earth" and all the yummy reality we enjoy, you're big-mouthed, won't-shut-up-about-it, obviously-CAN'T-shut-up-about-it plan for winning the war on terror and making America safe is to fall back on your contingency scheme. Well Bill, I really must say, I'm super freakin glad you have one, cuz things are starting to look somewhat more of a bad-ish sort of a thing than you had made it sound like previously. So, what is the back-up plan, cuz we could really use it now...uh-huh...yeah...but-...and then we...?...lemme get this straight--your back up plan to ensure that everything is gonna be cool is an arrow pointing back to the initial invasion (whoops, sorry--"occupation"--no? Still no good? OK, have it your way--"liberation"--but I swear, as soon as I find a dictionary to prove these definitions, you're gonna owe me 50 bucks...a bet's a bet there, Sport) that comprised step one of your big plan??? The FAILED freakin liberation and democratization??? Bill, -and be honest with me here--there are no steps beyond the second one are there? has the mouse fallen off the wheel in the ol' noggin again...?

Thank you for this video of our wacky bill losing his mind yet again. God, he's vile.
Thank you to Phil Donahue, too!
I hope to see 6 or 7 of you in DC soon. Meet you under the banner that says IMPEACH BUSH . Wear your Bradblog shirt!

...oops, almost forgot in that verging-on-biblically-long comment I just posted--at the end he says they're gonna discuss some theory about a plot against African-Americans. Let's be clear on one thing here, Einstein--I mean Dumbass--for my part (and naturally, that's the only one that counts!), I never accused ol' Snoop Georgie Dub and the Fuckshitup Regal Klan Allstars of being consciously racist or even, in any way specifically anti-Blacks. He's just pro-money. Radically. No seriously, it's like, beyond unhealthy the level to which he deifies moolah and its (thin-ice-skatin') keepers. He'll even pretend to actually BELIEVE in something to get the radical Christian Right to stand/stay behind him on it his selfless crusade/mission to liberate oppressed currency everywhere. He'll even go so far as to imply not only that he actually owns a soul, but furthermore, that he has offered it to some "all about some peace, love, and charity" immortal deity-sorta-guy in order to buttress his perpetual mantra (recited instinctively to any/all who approach him looking in any way poor): "I gave at the office..." usually screamed hysterically while running in the opposite direction, while clawing frantically at any clothing or skin that may have been touched by the offending lower-being-thing. I don't think he hates Blacks. Or even thinks about them at all, beyond circumstantially when they happen to be the ones in the way of his perpetual carrot-on-a-string "All money everywhere must become mine!" quest. I think he hates himself. Thus the edification, justification, "Who needs to be human[e] when you've got all this cash???" attitude...and the emptiness. He can't even TRY and identify with Americans' suffering without either ambiguity or adding the phrase (my personal favorite line--talk about disconnected!) "on the TV screen" to the end of invocation of horrific imagery. Hell, he can't even identify with his inanimate television set with out using the word "screen" as a buffer or "middle-man"! I'll bet he even has someone breathe for him so he doesn't have to experience any humanity directly and can remain aloof and aloft...

URGENT OFF TOPIC!!!
Hey y'all, I got an email message from Brad's address with a 25K payload attached - I'm suspecting it's a virus and someone spoofed his address. No idea what the body says (I didn't open it) but the subject line is: "Re: Your Bill"
Anybody else get this one? DON'T OPEN IT!!!!!

WOW, my opinion of Phil Donahue just skyrocketed, good points, and he was actually able to get a word in during the attack by O'Reilly. Thanks for posting this 'interesting interview'
Joan, LOL
Is your sign still up?

I haven't gotten a suspicious email from Brad - yet - either. Thanks for the heads-up, Kes.
I SAY - PHIL DONOHUE FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!
He was the consummate gentleman (kinda like Brad!) and didn't give ANY power to "Billy" O'Really. WOO-HOO!!
Did y'all notice how he got "Billy" to admit he didn't believe in the war?
Did that make anybody (in the rightwing) notice that "Billy" is just like rush, hannity, coulter ... lying for the sole purpose of making a buck ... and because they love starting fights?
Thank you David! Made my day!!

And Phil got his show canceled!?! Who and what are the MSM promoting? No wonder 54 million people were so stupid in Nov 2004 (well actually it was proabably more like 40 million people).

Hi Onyx,
Here's an article about your question "Who and what are the MSM promoting?"
From Democracy Now (interview with Phil Donohue) --
Phil Donahue: "We Have an Emergency in the Media and We Have to Fix It"
[snip] After years of being away from hosting that daily, national discussion, Donahue returned to TV in 2002 as the host of a nightly debate-style program on MSNBC. For many people, the show was a much-needed breath of fresh air on the cable networks, increasingly dominated by right-wing pundits and media personalities. Antiwar voices long kept off these cable news channels were suddenly given a seat in the forbidden studios to take part in a national debate about the so-called war on terror.
Here's an example - this was in the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq.
Donahue was on in the same time slot as Fox's Bill O"Reilly. But the show didn't last long. In fact, it didn't even last a year, even though it was MSNBC"s top-rated program. When Donahue was fired, the network moved to hire a string of right-wing hosts. [snip]
There's the answer to that question.

I got an e-mail, supposedly from my service that my service has been interrupted and to open the attachment to get the details.. I called my tech people instead and sure enough it was a virus. This happened about a week ago.
Wish us well, we are just west of the projected hurricane path. My 14 year old asked why America doesn't have practice disaster drills. Good question.
Texas DOT can't figure out how to make all the roads going one way to evacuate faster. They did this a few years ago from Corpus to San Antonio worked fine. Oh well, thinking outside the box is not the governments best trait.
Sorry for the ot

OT!!
TexasLady - I get a lot of those emails, this one just surprised me because it had Brad's address, and I was afraid someone else might open one thinking it was from Bradblog. And yeah, I never open them either.
Re: drills - We have always had tornado drills here, where the kids sit in the hallways at school and cover their heads and everybody goes to the stairwell or basement at work. Being in the south, most of us have had experience of one sort or another with tornados (ever seen one? they're awesome!), so we respect the reasons for the drills and accept them as a part of life here.
However, my son started public school for the first time this year and they just had their first "lockdown" drill. The teacher has to lock the door and the kids are told to hide and be quiet, and if someone looks through the door and can see anyone, they are in deep trouble.
Sometimes I just want to take the family and head into a cave deep in the mountains somewhere.
Good luck with the hurricane. I know it's not much consolation, but the west side is the "easier" side of the storm - meaning it's gonna get really bad, but not as bad as on the east side (those poor people in New Orleans!).
Maybe you should take this as a sign to head to Washington DC - sounds like there will be a lot of kindred spirits there this weekend.
Seriously though, y'all be careful, please? Let us know how you make out.

RE: Cindy Sheehan and the "BRING THEM HOME NOW" tour - I read something on the Washington post site (got there through a link at Rawstory) that seems a little um...coincidental. Anybody heard anything about this? And is it just me, or ...?
Secret Military Ops Take Place In DC
I've said all along that what I fear most about this weekend's rally is that there will be "plants", people sent specifically to stir things up and get some violence started, to get some people arrested and make the movement look bad.
All of y'all who are going - PLEASE, PLEASE be careful!!

Has anyone noticed it's only Fox that even airs the Democrat conspiracy theories--only to hold them up for ridicule? In this video clip, they mention Jeremy Glick accused Bush of being behind 9-11 and then on the bumper, the theory that New Orleans was flooded deliberately.
Got an e-mail the other day from the intrepid reporter Greg Palast saying don't embrace molotov-hurling Brit George Galloway, because the GOP has invited him here to be the left's spokesperson as a distraction from the unimpeachable Cindy Sheehan. Galloway, while he scored big points for his assault on neocon policies at a hearing earlier this year, apparently has quite a few skeletons in his closet.

"they mention Jeremy Glick accused Bush of being behind 9-11"
Glick said no such thing as you know. The fact that we trained and funded the same Mujahadeen killing us now was morphed into O'Leily's well...lie.
I wonder what we could do to investigate Bill O'Reilly's "nephew". I bet you that's as much BS as the Paris Business Review.

Jaime, you're right, I stupidly took O'Reilly at face value. That means Fox deliberately brought up two earth-shattering conspiracy theories within 5 minutes. That's unbelievable. Reminds me of Newsweek--their only mention of the folks alleging the election was stolen was in George Will's column pooh-poohing the notion. So... we can't legitimately bring up any anti-Republican theories in the MSM, unless we're Republican? Why allow them to mention it at all? I suppose to marginalize the truth.
Yeah, great idea--I too thought the O'Reilly's nephew bit was a lod of BS. Anybody out there have the means to investigate this?

I loved this video. Thanks.
Hard to investigate a nephew claim. A nephew can be the child of your sister/brother/ in law, or spouse of said child. Also he says his nephew went into the army, not to war. I have lots of neices and nephews in the military and some are pulling some pretty cushy duty stateside.

Nana,
I'm pretty sure my sign was taken down. I drove by & didn't see it, and there was a van parked on the side of the road with two or three people getting back in. *sigh*
Working on others though.
Air America had on a guy on from the Inquirer, Barry Levine. Supposedly they are printing a story about the president 'hitting the bottle' recently...

Donahue was excellent --- Stupid, stubborn O'Reilly says it's an optional war, poorly executed, but he wants more of the same (death and destruction) ... "so the Iraqis can have freedom" ... I wouldn't go to war in Iraq based on that argument ... no one would ... so obviously, Bushco. had another agenda = oil, money and empire, which Congress and the American people also would not accept ... so Bushco. had to lie to get their profitable war going!!!

Impression of the clip:
I think you just witnessed how to take the fight to the attacker, and how I wish Democrats and like-minded folks who manage to make it to the Mainstream Media would engage the way Mr. Donohue did. Now, he is exceptional--he has done this kind of riposte professionally for a long time. And I think O Reilly was a bit cautious and comparatively restrained until the enlistment remarks where he knew he could score a point during the onslaught. Still, can you imagine what it would be like if the Drms would get on the air and provide a little blowback!
