You're welcome, Nana
After receiving a complaint about the language, we've posted a G-rated version, for those who prefer their political commentary clean.

I love the idea of the Whisper Campaign, but I'm not sure where to put the copies without getting into trouble. Unfortunately, the town I live in is on the outskirts of a major air force base. We are also in the DEEP south. Any ideas? I'd love to get this campaign started here in our area. Thanks! Great site, by the way!

Swamp Lady - I'm in much the same boat, here in the south and the nearest city has a military base and there are a LOT of gung-ho pro-Bush types (though not as many as there used to be).
I slip them into newspaper stands when I go get a newspaper, leave them in public restrooms (copies in each stall plus stuck to the mirror), stick them in under stuff on shelves at department and grocery stores, leave them in theater seats, slide them in special order books and on shelves at Home Depot and Lowe's, leave them in restaurants, stop by the laundrymat when it's unoccupied and leave them there (how boring is it to do laundry and have nothing to read), and slip them into newspapers in fast food joints and magazines at the orthodontist office - there are a BUNCH of places to leave them. I've also found that if you fold them up and "accidentally" drop them in the mall or leave them on a bench, people are too curious NOT to pick them up (I love playing on human nature *s*)
Public transportation would be a great place too - unfortunately, we don't have any here *s*

William Rivers Pitt has up to the minute live blogging from Camp Casey.
http://www.truthout.org/cindy.shtml
He just reported that there's a letter circulating, supposedly signed by relatives of Cindy Sheehan, stating that they stand by Bush.
Swiftboating?

Good for you, Kestrel #6, you are showing some real creativity.
Other places I could suggest: tuck them into shoes in your local
WalMart, stick them in political books in your local book store and
library. You pretty well have it covered. Keep up the good work!
Also, for bumpersticker sloganeering, check out

Examples: "We refuse to fight in a war started by men who
refused to fight ina war."
"2974 arms; 3244 legs; 1672 lives; 0 WMD" (ok, I edited that one)

As a once raging liberal, I am somewhere between bemused and appalled at the hatred shown here in this blog and by the commentators. I note that the press (the 527 press) has blacked out all photographs of Saddam leading massive crowds in Baghdad cheering on the 911 murderers. Do these vile and cowardly weasels imagine that Saddam's gunmen or the Moslem extremists would chop off their heads one second slower than they would the average truck driver's?
The 527 weaklings and the haters I've seen here express their undyingly racist hatred of the Iraqui People when they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Saddam and Al Quieda as they are. Daily they help kill our soldiers and countless Iraquis, but lest we forget; these "me, me, me" fifth columnists don't care how many good people have to die, just so long as they can exprees their hatred of America, kill Americans and injure George Bush (in their own minds) as best they can. They are traitors.

Thanks Miguel for your comment #11.
Let's get one thing straight. I speak for nobody except myself here. If you disagree with what I write and you say so, then we can have a discussion. That applies to anyone.
On the other hand, If you prefer to call me a vile and cowardly weasel, a weakling and a hater, then you've lost any chance for a meaningful discussion, because in my world discussions are based on facts and knowledge and opinion and not ad hominem attacks.
So this will not be a discussion. It will be a monologue.
The idea that blogging, or otherwise expressing the truth as we see it, helps to kill our soldiers and countless Iraqis, is the purest of bullshit. And that's the most polite way I can put it.
To accuse me of racist harted of the Iraqi people is absolutely untrue and uncalled for. I do not hate America, although I do not approve of its leaders or its policies. The two questions are very different, in case you have not noticed.
It is totally false to say that I don't care how many good people have to die, or that I am a traitor. I'm a historian, mainly, and apparently I know a lot more American and World history than you do. Such a pity.
What have I been doing? and why have I been doing it? I haven't been trying to express hatred of America, nor to kill Americans, nor to injure George Bush.
I've simply been trying to give you a wakeup call. If you choose to sleep through it, that's your prerogative. But don't slander me while you snore.

Miguel you are a certified fool, read below what you are avoiding:
Paul, you are a pathetic ignorant idiot.
Go take your stack of bibles and rue the day you swept in.
'Communists?' This is why you and your far righty crackpots don't deserve to be in government.
You are totally ignorant, totally oblivious to all that is happening around you.
Since when did the fact that Israel-Pakistan has corrupted our congress and senate, paid off officials from both parties, and forced us into wars for oil NOT become news?
And your joke and laughing tirade of bullshit is this is all clinton's fault. Go scuffle down some more of that lemonade butch, this is not all Clinton's fault. This is the fault of the Bush Admin, the Clinton Admin and countless others who have been bribed and CORRUPTED-WHO HAD FULL KNOWING, AND WARNING OF 9/11.
Don't make me laugh...Next time you want to know what's up, Visit this site and read about the Israeli spy networks who were let go, start soaking up the knowledge rather than turning to a false phony belief, that has nothing to do with reality.

Re #11...
What never fails to amaze me is the MIND-BOGGLINGLY backwards perception some right-leaning people seem to have of this blog & the people on it.
That is, assuming that what they say is not utter made-up bullshit. (which is a big assumption, I realize).
I read a post like #11 and I ask myself "How can someone read this blog for any length of time---read the comments expressing heartfelt horror & grief over the needless death & injury caused by this war; expressing the fervent wish to get at the truth on so many disturbing issues; expressing outrage over hypocrisy, deceit & corruption; expressing compassion for & solidarity with families who have suffered the loss of loved ones, and on & on & on---and come away with so distorted a view?"
How can they look at black & see white? Look at up & see down?
Seems to me there is only one of two possible answers: one, they haven't read anything on this blog; or, two, they are for some reason incapable of processing reality.
I weep for them. And I weep for this country.
And I thank the gods for the good people on this blog & elsewhere, for the work they are doing to rescue the United States from the genuine lawless evil that is so terrifyingly rampant in this country.
Bless you all.

Friends, Americans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I ask we impeach Bush, not praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them,
That evil is oft interred with our bones;
So it is with Bush. The ignoble Rove
Hath told us Bush was ambitious;
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Iraq answer'd it.
Here, under leave of the Patriot Act,
With the propaganda machine of lies, I say
So are they all, all dishonorable men,
Come I speak for Bush's impeachment.
He is not our friend, faithful only to the corporations.
But Rove says Bush was ambitious;
But Rove is a dishonorable man.
Bush hath brought many captives by rendition
With war that did drain the coffers dry:
Did this in Bush seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried,
Bush hath cut their funding
Ambition is hard work sayeth Bush.
Yet Rove says he is not a liar;
And Rove no longer can prove thus.
You all did see on the media
Bush thrice presented Medals of Honor
To those who helped his lies, Was this ambition?
Yet Rove sayeth Bush does not lie.
But surely That is a lie.
I speak not to disprove what Rove spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
We have all reviled him once, not without cause:
Our cause is to mourn for the number that grows daily
O judgment, thou art fled behind spin and stonewalls,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with us,
Our hearts are in the coffins there with his lies.
There is no cause that will bring them back to us.

Please pardon the cross-post:
Screw the trolls. I think it's clear that the mainstream media is losing relevance and that those who choose to look elsewhere for information about what matters are not so dimwitted as to fall for their name-calling.
As has been said before, obviously, the right wing media spin machine is getting a little scared that Cindy's little "camp out" might morph into the great "moment of decision" for many people and become a nexus for challenging the mass of lies this administration has been propagating for the last five years. The MSM, as corporate controlled as they are, are also a "pack animal" that moves from issue to issue en-masse, and if this "protest" gains too much support, it could totally overwhelm the ability of the administration to propagandize their way out of it.
KEEP UP THE BRAVE WORK CINDY! And to the rest of us --- if you can get to Crawford, this is the time to make a stand! This could be the nexus. This could be the "political Woodstock" of our generation.
1000 people by the 17th.
10,000 people by the 24th.
500,000 people by the 31st?
Let's make history happen, rather than just writing about it.
TO CRAWFORD!!!!
Let our bodies be counted, our voices heard, and our opinions of this administration and the war they took us into be known and disseminated throughout the land.

Psst. F*ck Cindy Sheehan. Capitalizing on your son's death for publicity and your own political agenda is disgusting. Pacificism = moral bankruptcy.
