Yeah. Worth listening to. Worth watching.
Her "crime" was what? Not giving up her time to listen to a windbag rebut her contention that an ophthalmologist is not a medical expert on abortion?
How many cops does it take to remove a female speaker from the Texas legislature? Three: one on each arm and one to tower over her, forcing her to walk backward.
Well, Internet? Were you watching?

Lora. Correct answer is four! You missed the one who moved the chair.

Oh WOW she was AWESOME!!! I wonder if someone can contact her so she can publish what she was going to say about each and every one of those cretins in the legislature.
And CAN SHE SUE THEM??? for not allowing her her time to speak? Ernest?

Steve,
Yeah, I saw him but didn't count him for some reason. I should have, though, can't think of why not. Maybe because he was so polite, moving that chair and all.
Well she certainly called it like it was, and they couldn't handle it. We need an "American Summer..."

We need about 75,000,000 more women like her in America.
Love that attitude.... "Gave them hell"

MSNBC at least had her for an interview and she was great! After the cretins slammed even a woman who had to abort a fetus with spina bifida, she "did opposition research" real fast on the freakshow comprising the committee.
"They got worried really fast" Larry O'Donnell.
She is ready for primetime - anyone can see that.

The definition of liberal hypocrisy: A mixed up kid shoots and kills school children = WE NEED MORE REGULATION! An abortion "doctor" births live babies and then kills them in his little shop of horrors = REGULATIONS TO PREVENT THAT? HOW RADICAL!!!
The extremists on the left have completely ransacked what used to be an honorable and caring political party.

WingnutSteve offered the definition of wingnut will-believe-anything stoogery @ 7 with:
The definition of liberal hypocrisy: A mixed up kid shoots and kills school children = WE NEED MORE REGULATION! An abortion "doctor" births live babies and then kills them in his little shop of horrors = REGULATIONS TO PREVENT THAT? HOW RADICAL!!!
Lemme help ya....
A mentally ill kid shoots and kills school children = FOLKS ON RIGHT AND LEFT COME TOGETHER TO TAKE ACTIONS THAT DENY NOBODY'S CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHTS, BUT WHICH MAY PREVENT SIMILAR HORRIFIC TRAGEDIES IN THE FUTURE. WINGNUT STOOGES OF THE ARMS INDUSTRY BLOCK THE BI-PARTISAN MEASURES MEANT TO PREVENT CRIMINALS AND MENTALLY ILL PEOPLE FROM EASILY PURCHASING WEAPONS AND KILLING SCHOOL CHILDREN.
An abortion "doctor" carries out illegal procedures in his little shop of horrors = WINGNUTS CONTINUE TO PASS MEASURES THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH STOPPING SUCH HORRORS AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH TAKING AWAY CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHTS IN ORDER TO ACTUALLY CAUSE MANY MORE SUCH ILLEGAL SHOPS OF HORRORS. PROPAGANDIZED WINGNUTS UNABLE TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES GO OUT AND POST COMMENTS IN SUPPORT OF THE OPPOSITE THING THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE IN, HAD THEY TAKEN EVEN TO MINUTES TO REALIZE HOW THEY'VE BEEN HOAXED.
There, fixed it for ya.
The extremists on the left have completely ransacked what used to be an honorable and caring political party.
Lemme fix that one for ya too...
The wingnut extremists on the Right, propagandized into believing centrist, constitutional policies supported by both the non-insane Right and Democrats for decades, spread disinformation about them in order to advocate against their own self-interests, because they are too stupid to realize it.
Seriously, dude. Whoever used to write under the name "Steve Snyder aka WingnutSteve" was much smarter than this jackass who does it now. The original WingnutSteve, who was a RWinger, but not a particular stupid one, would never have posted something like the new guy just did. That would only have served to make him look like a propagandized, hypnotized, desperate tool. The old guy was often demonstrably wrong, but he wasn't an asshole. Whoever hired the new guy needs to be fired. The new guy is not nearly as effective as the old guy.
P.S. The old WingnutSteve, the one who used to pretend to give a shit about liberty, freedom and people's rights, would have at least pretended to be outraged by cops hauling away someone doing little more than expressing their First Amendment rights in an orderly, legal manner, in an official state legislature. This new guy just posts embarrassing, inaccurate Fox 'News'isms instead. Back to the drawing board for ya, boys. This new guy is just being laughed at these days.

That is a great video. Almost looked like something out of the British Parliament, but American politicians aren't used to being criticized, and it just terrorizes them to not be controlling the message.
Poor little babies.

Don't get mad at the cops. Get mad at the very legislators that stand on the floor and create laws.

Brad,
Most reasonable people support tighter gun regulations as long as it doesn't take away the constitutional right of such reasonable people to own the gun, I'm amongst them. That is a moderate view.

Most reasonable people support a woman's right to choose when it comes to abortion, I'm amongst them. That is a moderate view.

Most reasonable people support tight regulations on late term/partial birth abortion unless absolutely necessary. That is a moderate view.

There's nothing extremist about my views in any way. You can repeat the left wing nut case talking points you've been told to say but they ring as hollow as your sense of moral values at cheer leading such a brutally horrific procedure. You sir are the radical, not the Texas bill.

CB at comment #10:
I totally agree with you. The police officers are just trying to feed their kids, and it's not easy.
The B on the bench, or whoever told the B on the bench to shut down the lady citizen from telling the truth is/are to blame.
I was an optician for over 30 years. My job was to fabricate eyeglasses using prescriptions provided by either an ophthalmologist or an optometrist.
Although Ophthalmologists need a degree in education to start a practice, they have NO BUSINESS telling a woman or her doctor what they can do with their practice or body.
It's pretty stunning that an ophthalmologist was allowed in the discussion as some kind of expert.

@ Larry Bergan:
The fabulous Texas activist Sarah Slamen addressed that very issue if you listen closely.
"Senator Campbell, you're an opthmalogist, so I WON'T be making you the expert on reproductive health. We can give you the children with chlamydia and herpes in their eyes (via sexual activity) since we don't have sex ed. in this state....."
(YES SHE ACTUALLY SAID THAT)
Not much to do with abortion.
The great Sarah Slamen says she is moving to New York City so she can obtain health care on an activist's pay.

I seem to remember a similar situation a few years back where somebody claimed to be a expert in a field that had nothing to do with his. I think some of these bastards hope the public won't notice when they slip stuff like that in, and they're probably right, but it's a very smelly tactic.
