That bullet "Greatest Prosperity In History Without War" says a lot.
Some 80% of working adults face unemployment and/or poverty now, what with these virtually endless wars for a decade now.
My how propaganda has ruined the Republicans and now the Democrats are falling down too.

If only Henry Wallace were kept on the ticket in 1944, what a different country this might be.
This shows that the complete loss of any kind of conscience in the GOP is a recent phenomenon.

"America(ns)... produce more and consume more than any other nation" is the most important quote from this. This is why our economy is in the toilet. We are no longer earning weel, so our population is consuming less which weakens our economy which causes more workers to lose pay/jobs which weakens the economy...
Raise the minimum wage, tax the wealthy, tax the international corporations, eliminate loop-holes and tax dodging tactics so everyone pays their fair share. If not eventually our economy will be so weak we will have no clout in the international markets because we have lost our buying power.
