Hope Mrs. Shultz tries alternatives and beats cancer. Essiac has been known to cure terminal cancer. Good friend had a brain tumor which was changing behavior and sticking out like a marble on the back of her head. Used poultices applied to the area consisting of olive oil and turmeric . Shrank 80%. Google turmeric on Dr. Mercola's website..it actually changes the DNA of cancerous cells.
Knockout by Suzanne Summers has some awesome alternatives too.

I am so sorry to hear that Wendy is forced to take this journey. My aunt passed away from ovarian cancer a little over 25 years ago when I was a teenager. My cousin was diagnosed 5 years ago. What a difference 20 years make! My cousins surgery and chemo was successful and she has since been certified as a nutritionist who dedicates herself to helping cancer survivors lead healthy lives, thereby extending their lives. She has had 5 years of cancer free follow-ups and I see that trend continuing for many decades to come.
I figured something was terribly wrong when Ed took so much time off and as much as his listeners and viewers love and need his voice, there is someone who needs him even more and I hope they both know that we all are keeping both of them in our thoughts. I hope she will be telling her success story 5 years from now. My cousins success shows that this journey, while definitely a hard one, can result in footnote in time down the road. Big hugs to her and Ed!

Big Eddie, I was saddened to learn that Wendy is fighting ovarian cancer. I heard the phone call this morning, Ed, and my heart and my prayers go out to both you and Wendy. There is a wonderful book I would recommend for both of you to read - Doctor's Orders, Go Fishing by Dean Shrock, PhD. It's a wonderful, uplifting and spirtural book for cancer patients. Dean has worked in many cancer care facilities. You can find this easily on Amazon.com. Blessings to both of you.

With some good luck and the right treatment Wendy can beat her ovarian cancer. Wendy and her relatives must learn about Hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome. Testing may help guide Wendy's treatment and possibly save other women in her family too.

Take care of business Ed. We'll be there waiting for you when your wife recovers from her cancer treatments. She needs you now, more than ever. I'm going thru chemo now for BC and there are a lot of scarey times ahead. Since you live not as far from Chicago as I do, I urge you to atleast look into the Block Treatment Center. He uses chemo in unconventional ways...e.g. administering chemo when it is most effective using circadian rhythms. A woman with ovarian CA in my town (and who has the money to fly there very frequently) is doing well, years later, seeing Dr. Block. He also puts a heavy emphasis on nutrition. He combines conventional with the alternative. Look for his book too.

P.S.(an addendum to #33). Please tell the REAL scumbag #28, that as an oncology nurse, he can go soak his head in FOX news and then go straight to hell.
Please remove this A-hole fom this blog. He so represents the hate generated on the right.

Dear Ed and Wendy,
My husband and I are praying for God's complete healing of Wendy's body. We pray God will grant you strength and courage to endure the challenges that you will face. You must believe God through faith for Wendy's healing. Stay positive and read these healing scriptures; Psalms 30:2, Isaiah 58:8, I Peter 2:24. And lastly, my husband and I are dedicated viewers of the Ed Show. We miss not seeing you but now we know where you are and we support you and Wendy. Your show is in good hand with Michael Dyson but we still want to see you back on the air too. You and Wenday take good care and be Healed and Blessed in Jesus Name.

I say leave #28 up. No better way for an asshole to let you know just who they are and who they support than their free exercise of speech. And if Ed and Wendy happen to read these comments (though they have much bigger fish to fry) they'll read the good along with the bad and know they are, and continue to, fight for the good.

Much, much progress made over past 20 years and less on ovarian cancer, so much can be done. It is difficult, but, it can be done. It can be effectively treated and this is what we will pray for, work toward, and believe in.
Do the work, Ed. We have your back.

Didn't see comment #28 but know it must have been extraordinarily offensive for Brad to have deleted it.
We'd like to thank those whose empathy and humanity produced words of sympathy and encouragement to Ed and Wendy --- sentiments that we, of course, share and extend to both.
When faced with a personal crisis of this magnitude, the course of treatment and recovery can seem overwhelming. It can be manageable only if Ed and Wendy take up the fight one day and one treatment session at a time.
Our hopes for a speedy recovery are with you, Ed and Wendy.

Hi Ed & Wendy -
All my best to you as I know what you're experiencing. I'm 55 and a six year ovarian cancer survivor, and though it took a while to get back on my feet, so far so good! Writing through the experience helped, as did allowing myself stay on the couch to do nothing. It just takes time to heal, but you'll get there. Best alohas to you!

I was wondering where you were and worried because you helped me make sense of American Politics.. Your involvement was crucial at overcoming the lies in the last election and our young president needs your voice again but I am glad you made the right choice.
I was devastated to learn of your predicament and what your wife is going through.
It took a lot of courage, commitment and love .. back to our basic vows of marriage. I respect you Ed and am happy that your wife has a husband who truly knows his priorities.
My prayers are with you. I pray for a miraculous healing and that you will stay strong through this. God Bless You and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ed's wife in her battle and hope she does well.
My complaint is I wonder how he would have felt if an anchor had said "I wish they would take out her ovaries, kicked them around like a football, put them back in and hope that she went to the beyond." That's what he said about Cheney's heart transplant.
