So the standard of neoCons is to not trust one's brain, but rather to trust one's gut?
One must not misunderestimate the value of a tube of sh*t over cognitive expression in their way of "wisdom".
Could that have anything to do with their environmental policies ... and global warming ... happiness is a warm gut?

I cannot access the video version (Kennedy/Colbert) You say you have a text version. I cannot find it. What is going on in this country is too important to have the information be given only to Bloggers who can access video.
PLEASE. For the good of the Country, make information easily available to Bloggers. WE have enough of an uphill battle with the mainstream media.
Do not let snobbery involving Internet savvey and capibility trump disemination of crucial information. Give us text.

I have been reading for 2 years...I rarely say anything. This is apalling....I don't think there is a damned thing funny about all of this and no one I know took this interview seriously. It came off as a comedy and makes fun of a very serious issue....pathetic!!!

Emma yes I know its not funny but at least RFK Jr got some more publicity which is better than complete silence. Its an appauling situation that calls for any contribution. Lets use any weapon we have to get rid of these guys because we don't have many. RFK is the only major public figure who will speak about this issue at present. To be honest he's probably one of the only people the GOP will not be able to destroy in the eyes of the public. His integrity and intelligence are obvious and he has huge personal Charisma. People will be very angry if they see him being rubbished by the GOP because of this. This will draw people to his side and ours. He will get people reading and acting on this issue. He is a born leader not just because he's a Kennedy but who he is.

Emma:
I will disagree with you on this. While there is no question that "none of this is funny" you should consider that for many people (including many young people) who don't want to THINK about anything, that humor can "come in under their radar" and get ideas into their heads.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are many people's only source of "news" even both of them are on the COMEDY CHANNEL and don't even PRETEND to have news staff rather than comedy writers. Well READ comedy writers, but still, not "journalists" as we used to know them.
Anything that breaks this important subject into the mainstream "conversation in the public square" is worth it.

i don't understand what you mean, Christie Mayo #3, when you say "What is going on in this country is too important to have the information be given only to Bloggers who can access video." you do know that these videos are offered becuase David Edwards of veredictum.com personally records them at his own expense and on his own time? the videos aren't 'given" to anyone. just turn on the tv. they are right there.
"Do not let snobbery involving Internet savvey and capibility trump disemination of crucial information."
it sounds like you are accusing BradBlog of snobbery --- is that what you intend? if so, you should be aware that the blog is adminstered by individuals on their own time and at their own expense. no one is trying tio keep you from anything. the blog itself was just switched over to new software and has some bugs still to be worked out.
there is no intent to keep information from you or anyone else, but it is interesting that that is your first assumption.

This was great! I've been working on election integrity issues for months now. It was refreshing to see someone inject some humor into the worrisome situation we have. I'm glad that Kennedy got to speak about the Ohio fiasco and I'm glad that Colbert got to "interview" him. Colbert's last jab was so gentle and so funny. Bravo!

Robert was free to speak his mind. In the face of the evidence he used to support his statements, Steven can only make jokes which is a still better than being interupted by a bunch of back biting duck and cover damage control spinsters. Steven's hindsite excuse that "we the people" want a President who is willing to steal an election over a perseived flip flopper is about as thin a comeback in reality as you will get to the fact that hacked electronic voting machines and massive humanistic fraud is the new truth of ugly Amerika. Go ask an Iraqi civilian who lost their family in Bush's war about bushit democracy.

I love Colbert! He shows just how ridiculous those comebacks are that the republicans use (such as: "well, the Kennedy's cheated" and "if Bush cheated to get into power, God will forgive him because he is such a great humanitarian" --- excuse me while I go vomit)! Bravo, Stephen, you've done it again!
I was a little worried that Kennedy wasn't informed of Colbert's "character" before the show --- but he picked up on it quickly.
After he threw Bush's sh!t right back at him (face to face at the WH correspondent's dinner), Colbert remains a hero to me --- and always will.
And Robert Kennedy, Jr is one of the greatest statesmen of all times! His father would be proud!

Hope you guys are right. I watched it again this morning thinking I just over reacted last night. I'm like a raw nerve over all of this. I guess I just lost my sense of humor along the way.

Some of the people on this post don't seem understand how the Colbert show works.
Colbert plays the part of a right wing fanatic. When talking to Kennedy about the issue Republicans least want to address (voting problems), Colbert was just being in character to lash out and interrupt even more then usual.
I got more out of this fake interview then all the other "real" news shows we've seen here since the Rolling Stone article. Young people did too!

Christy,
With all due respect, the "snobbery" comment is ludicrous & completely unjustified. Do some more reading here & you'll see that Brad Friedman is anything but a snob. And he's been working his ass off for the last two years trying to get the truth out there.
Welcome, though. Glad you joined us. You might consider donating to Bradblog, too, after you've perused the archives & seen what great work there is here.

Okay, so the second time it showed up as a link anyway. Does the new software automatically change http into a link?
