I'm sure you'll all remember our friend Steve. He's been playing the role of central planning coordinator for the rapidly approaching Blogathon, which as I am sure you will all remember is slated for early next month --- July 8-11 ... Write that down, BradBloggers!

Please take a minute to read --- and a few minutes to act on --- Steve's latest message:

The Blogathon plans continue to move forward. We now have a flyer for the event, courtesy of Shadowtwinchaos, that you can link to for downloading, printing, e-mailing, posting, making paper airplanes out of and whatever else you can think of. You can click here to see a WORD version of the document that you can print or download. You can Right-Click on that same link and choose "Save Target as..." to save the document on your computer, so you can print it or e-mail it as needed.

Keep This Really Quiet! Pass It On...

We're ready to go. And you can help.

Tired of Shouting Into the Wind? Try Whispering.

Winter Patriot has launched a brilliant new DIY activist effort: The Whispering Campaign. It's very simple. WP has set up a website with a selection of short, succinct, printer-friendly articles detailing some nugget of unexplored or underplayed truth about our times; all you have to do is print them out --- and leave them in some public place for passers-by to find and read. As WP puts it: "Ideal locations include book stores, copy shops, libraries, train stations, buses, taxis, laundromats, grocery stores, hair salons, barber shops, rest rooms, gas stations, coffee shops, truck stops... use your imagination!"

It's real grass-roots stuff --- in fact, it reaches all the way down to the individual blade, a personal form of activism either to supplement collective action or to let each person carve a particular path. It's also a good way of reaching people outside the seething blogosphere or the media/political world in general --- the vast majority of the population, in other words.

So scoot on over to the Whispering Campaign and check it out. Start moving that mountain one grain at a time.

Chris gives me too much credit, but otherwise he's spot-on, I think. It's a great idea, isn't it? It's an old one, tried and tested.

What's new is the implementation. But I can't even take credit for that. The Whispering Campaign stands on the earlobes of giants.

Here's how you can stand there with us:

Join The Whispering Campaign! Print the articles, make copies, and spread them around ...

Send quiet messages to all your friends, post silent messages on all your favorite blogs, do any quiet thing you can think of to help publicize The Whispering Campaign and help good information move along its rightful path.

It's not enough just to boycott the major media. We have to take over their job! We owe it to our fellow citizens to share good information with them. And this is an easy way for you to help make it happen.

The major media may be busy trying to find a runaway bride or drooling over lurid details of the trial of a former pop music star, but Congressman John Conyers is not about to let these vital non-issues detract attention from the most serious story of the day. It figures!!

Rep. Conyers has written an open letter to president bush asking some very pointed questions, as detailed in this piece from our friends at The Raw Story !! Conyers doesn't mess around with small-talk, either. The letter begins:

Dear Mr. President:

We write because of troubling revelations in the Sunday London Times apparently confirming that the United States and Great Britain had secretly agreed to attack Iraq in the summer of 2002, well before the invasion and before you even sought Congressional authority to engage in military action. While various individuals have asserted this to be the case before, including Paul O'Neill, former U.S. Treasury Secretary, and Richard Clarke, a former National Security Council official, they have been previously dismissed by your Administration. However, when this story was divulged last weekend, Prime Minister Blair's representative claimed the document contained "nothing new." If the disclosure is accurate, it raises troubling new questions regarding the legal justifications for the war as well as the integrity of your own Administration.

It's out now! The Gannon/Guckert story is out in the mainstream!!

And it ain't pretty.

IF A REPORTER who doubled as a gay hooker had visited the Clinton White House nearly 200 times, think it would have made the news?

If "Jeff Gannon"/James D. Guckert had been unveiled, so to speak, as a liberal imposter who lobbed softball questions at Clinton administration press briefings, he would be as infamous as Michael Schiavo.

And if 39 of those White House visits were mysteriously unrelated to his "reporting" duties, imagine what innuendoes would be issuing forth from Planet Limbaugh. Imagine the organized phone call campaign demanding newspapers and TV stations report the story.

Thus wrote Carol Towarnicky, of the Philadelphia News, in a piece published Monday.

I'm still in the dark about plans for this week's RAW RADIO ...
I know you are too, and some of you will be wondering ...
Hang tough, folks: I will post the schedule here as soon as I get it!

As Brad likes to say: "Developing..."

UPDATE FROM BRAD: Try as I might, I was unable to get up a new live broadcast from where I currently am this week on the road! The BRAD SHOW On the Air will return LIVE again next week from our previous On-the-Road location for one last broadcast before high-tailing it home to our (hopefully) permanent homebase broadcast center!

So, this week's BRAD SHOW will be a "Best Of..." --- yes, we've been at it for all of two weeks and already broadcasting a "Best Of..." For the record, the radio gig came upon us quickly while we were on the road, and knew that we had previous obligations for this weekend which might make it difficult or impossible to get a LIVE show up and on the air. We did our best to make it happen, but just couldn't pull it off. However, if you missed any of these great hours, they will be new to you!

Tonight's "Best of The BRAD SHOW" features:

HOUR 1: Clint Curtis Interview (First BRAD SHOW hour ever! Rebroadcast from 4/16/05)
HOUR 2: Election Reformapalooza (Rebroadcast from 4/23/05)

An open invitation to share your thoughts regarding David Ray Griffin's lecture, C-SPAN's coverage, the events of 9/11 themselves, the many "conspiracy theories" which have been advanced to try to explain those events, the gaping holes in the "official conspiracy theory", and/or the fact that only now --- more than three and a half years after the attacks --- is it even partially acceptable to ask serious questions about any of this on American television ...

And speaking of the "official conspiracy theory", I've recently read an article which does a great job of debunking it, and you can find a few more remarks about it, plus a link, on this page of please don't read my blog.
