It is a witty quote, but I don't believe that it applies to all Republicans. I also believe that it applies to a good number of Democrats. The two main parties are subservient to corporate interests, and their differences are primarily of style and how they direct their lip service, not actual substance.

Genuine conservatives such as, say, Ron Paul, wouldn't be supporting big government totalitarian policies of the Republican party (aka Democratic party, to be mathematically pedantic). On the other side (actually the same side with a different name, "Democrats")such as Dennis Kucinich wouldn't be supporting the shafting of the American populace to in kow-towing servitude to the corporate puppet-masters who dictate the policies of the spineless Democrats (as well as the more honest Republicans who openly admit to being corporate whores).

In practice, Republicans and Democrats are, with very few exceptions, whores for their corporate pimps, and the American population (as well as people in other countries) are getting f*cked.
