Let's see...
We landed men on the moon and returned them safely to earth many times and yet we can't build computers which can tabulate voting results that can also be counted by human beings and have the two results match.
Businesses all across America require that their employees, (human resources), count thousands of inventory items that must match what the computer says is in that inventory, or they have to start over.
This procedure is apparently impossible when we vote.
Why is that!

Larry if it CAN be done and it ISN'T being done it means those doing it DON'T want it to be done.

We've got a huge fight going in Tennessee right now, y'all.
We passed the Tennessee Voter Confidence Act (after 3 years of agitation by a group called Gathering to Save Our Democracy), mandating paper ballots, in '08. Even though the legislation was sooo important that it passed nearly unanimously, it wasn't so important that it was implemented for the '08 election. So, despite our best efforts, the forces of darkness said that 7 months was too short a time to change from DREs to paper, and the bill was written to be in use by '10...
Several of us at the signing ceremony whispered about the possibility of the Repubs miraculously winning the legislature and then killing our bill. Wanna guess what happened? Every open seat in the General Assembly went to the Pubs! Even in an election that where the whole nation swung hard to the left! So they took over the legislature for the first time ever. And as soon as they appointed their Sec. of State, Tre Hargett, he supported a bill to get rid of the TVCA.
Since then we were saved by one lone courageous vote by a Repub senator, but Hargett plans to be back, though now he says he's all about paper ballots, just not till '12. That's after the important '10 gov's election, of course.
Because we can't afford paper. And there's no prob with our DREs, and the bill says we need 2005-certified by the FEC equipment (except, of course, it doesn't...), and it’ll cost too much, and and and…
Recently he said they’d still try to kill the TVCA as soon as they can. SOS Hargett's making no preps for paper in '10.
What can y'all at Bradblog do?
Know anybody in TN? Make 'em aware and tell 'em to hammer their state rep on this issue.

The Anthrax Attacks along with the 9/11 attacks were what many consider to be an inside job. We have a lot of problems to tackle. The Monetary System dominated by the private Federal Reserve System, The Election Reforms necessary, and the corruption and false flag terror ploys by government. Keep spreading the word to intelligent and courageous people.

It wasn't a 'complaint' as much as a poorly worded request.
Thanks for the open thread though, I think its a good idea to periodically have these so people don't have to post off-topic in an unrelated thread if they come across something of interest which other Bradblog readers might like. I'll post something if I have time later today.

California Bankrupt - Arnold aparently is passing the "peace pipe" around to get a budget. I think all of them are high on something.
President HooBama - Karl makes an interesting comparison between President Hoover and Obama.

I might remind you I just lost everything recently--It will take me months to get back to where I was. Today, I have a different security strategy. Part of it is disk cloning (cloned disk sits on a shelf UNPLUGGED), part isolation VM's for different browsing threats Red, yellow, green, part dealing with USB devices (autoinsert madness), part password management, part firewall iptables tweeks. Karen #18, yeah half that clip was digitally corrupted or something, I'd get one or two words, then miss then next five, etc. I figured it was my local cable company (which hardly has a stellar record of performance), but if that was going on in a widespread fashion....hmmmm.

I would like to take this opportunity to respectfully suggest Bradblog lay off the Palin story, for twothree very good reasons:
1. OVER-EXPOSURE: I come to the BB to read stories that aren't being covered anywhere else, let alone everywhere else. Palin is now saturating me from the cover of every supermarket tabloid to the now shamefully impoverished WAPO op ed pages. I am soaking in her. (And my skin is starting to show signs of severe allergy.)
2. BAD STRATEGY: When we found legitimate proof of manipulated federal elections (sic. over and over again) did Rush, Hannity, or FOX spend all their energies and efforts reporting and refuting our facts? NO! They just ignored them completely, to great effect. A deft combination of mocking us OFF CAMERA (on blogs)and constantly re-enforcing the "liberal media" meme with their loudest megaphones successfully pushed the topic out off the PROGRESSIVE media's radar, as well.
No one would touch us. We were left to scrap it out amongst our (supposed) selves; to fight with Kos about this instead of fighting FOX about this.
The progressive news black out is THE ROOT CAUSE, as so many of us here have defined it, of the most frustrating, debilitating, soul-crushing part of this Herculean effort to expose secret vote counting by private, partisan corporations.
Why are we doing the opposite? Why are we amplifying the goddamned crazies? Seems self defeating...
3. 99's MENTAL HEALTH: I realize that Bradblog's comments tend to skyrocket when reporting about how this juicy bitch keeps getting slapped with more ethics complaints, I can't imagine what kind of chronic pain it gives one to try to moderate that shit. Really. That weekend was so crazy here I had to decompress by washing my brain.
While I have nothing but the best wishes for BB's Sponsors who need to know he has tons of eyes reading him (and he does, Sponsors, he does)-- we all --- oops --- I mean, anyone in their right mind knows that Sara Palin is unethical.
This is not news to Jeannie.
Or any BB reader, I surmise.
Must 99 pay the price?
Thank you for considering the above (intended as contructive) comments.
I love that I can do this here.

Thank you, Jeannie. We think we're so smart because we don't do the MSM's Britney/Paris/Brangelina axis here, but all this ado over the Piglips/O'Reilly/Coulter axis is almost literally as brain-numbing, synapse-hardening, and outright stupefying. It's all I can do to keep from ripping my hair out and smashing my monitor over that shit.
