One interesting — dare we say, hopeful — point we just noticed about last night’s speech.
In the text transcript at the White House website, the speech was written to end, curiously enough, with the following words:
Yet we can go forward with confidence — because the State of our Union is strong, our cause in the world is right, and tonight that cause goes on. God bless. (Applause.)
See you next year. Thank you for your prayers.
“See you next year”???
Anybody ever recall such an ending to a State of the Union address?! Now why would they include something like that, one has to wonder.
But as odd as it was to include those words in the first place, what’s even more interesting is that Bush didn’t say them, choosing instead to end simply with “God bless.”
Shall we take this as an encouraging omen? I say we do.

Bush looks like he thinks he’s getting away with it. Cheney looks like he’s congratulating him and Pelosi is over-joyed, because she knows the real deal.
No, she looks that way because of plastic surgery. Cheney is clapping because it’s his job to clap. Bush is happy because he likes what he just said.
He actually said, “SEE YOU NEXT FEAR”…
Nah, he din’t say it because Foley and Gannon aren’t around anymore…what he really said was ‘See your nuts dear?’
Was “cynically” watching Fox and saw Nancy looking like the cat who got the cream. She’s up to something we are not yet privy to I think. That’s what I read in her face. Dreams are free and maybe she’s cut a no prosecution, voluntary exile (Paraguay) deal with B & C. Of course prosecution would be better but time consuming. The sooner B & C do a runner, the sooner the war will end. More lives saved.

IF we get a move on with election reform (i.e. PAPER BALLOTS COUNTED BY HAND AND REPORTED AT THE LOCAL LEVEL) then by January of 2008, the Republicans will be running so fast from their records of support for Bush/Cheney that they will BEG him to send his SOTU in on paper and not show up.
By then, his polls will have bottomed at 18% (the percentage of people in the USA who will support Bush/Cheney even if they rape and shoot a dozen schoolboys on the White House lawn in front of cameras) and the rotunda will be suprisingly QUIET.
