Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan have at each other debating President Bush’s stay the course policy in Iraq in this entertaining clip (10:00) from yesterday’s Scarborough Country. Buchanan actually defends Bush despite calling the war a “horrible mistake” and suggesting that the President may be acting with his legacy in mind.
Scarborough finds Buchanan’s stance perplexing since he knows that “there are not ten Republicans on Capitol Hill that agree with this President” and that the “President stands alone in the world in his view on Iraq”.
The clip begins about 3 minutes into the segment while the real fireworks start at approximately the 7 minute mark. Finally, despite all appearances, the clip is not cut off at the end as Scarborough only goes on to thank his guests.

Yes, this was a bizarre exchange. Pat is often correct although usually politically incorrect. Joe seems to be a conventional wisdom weather vane. I prefer Keith.
IMO
Joe pulled a fast one the other day to keep Keith’s fans from flipping the channel. His show started immediately with guest Arianna Huffington… Slick Joe… But I still turn off the TV after Olbermann. . .
Judge Of Judges #2
You got it! Turn the channel.
Joe is more from crazyland then the heartland! He’s from the “Gingrich revolution”. That is Soooo 1990’s!
I think that the both of them exemplify the new republican minority … the “waterboarding is a no-brainer” crowd … when in fact they are the no-brainers.
The republican minority is the burnt out shell of six years of madness.
The preznit blush and v.p. The Dick are now their leaders. A bankrupt and corrupt backwards movement which will plague the efforts of the new congressional majority and a better national direction.
Beware of the self-fulfilling prophesy! Isn’t that precisely with GWB jokingly said recently?? He said that he didn’t care if only Laura and pooch were the only two left supporting him. Looks like truer words were never spoken! He’s become more of a cipher to the american people and almost totally irrelevant.
Does anyone know how much this war is costing every day? No mission and no objective. No money spent on US. Joe Scarborough might just be sick of his party. Don’t be surprised, he is a human being. My brother is so consevative; he likes Hitler..He is an independent now…says conservatives don’t like Bush.If my brother can switch so can Joe.
