Welcome back Brad (and, presumably Desi)!
I probably won't be the first or the last to say that Winter Patriot was extraordinary and prolific in your absence. I often found myself staying up into the wee hours of the night reading his long but compelling posts, especially if I got behind by a day or two. I hope that his commentaries will continue on at least a fairly regular basis, even when you are not on the road, unless he needs the time off to recover!

While you were gone, Winter Patriot has utterly destroyed the credibility of your blog with inane conspiracy theories. Whoops!
You really should watch out for people who call THEMSELVES patriots.

Welcome back, Brad, from what was apparently your busman's holiday. I trust you managed a little therapeutic rest, because we're gonna want red meat every day for the next couple of months. WP and 99 did great, but you're the greatest zookeeper ever, and we're mighty glad you're back...

Hey, how about this snippet from TPM Muckraker,
More questionable ethics ties to another Congressman and Feeney shows up in the story, how nice
"Not bad—especially when you consider that Roe has also received about $30,000 in fundraising fees this year from four other House members: Tom Feeney of Florida, whose chief of staff, Jason Roe, is Patty's husband"

Good to have you back Brad. Any info on the Newsweek cover story in 4 or 5 weeks supposedly titled "Will You Vote Count"? I am also wondering how long 60 minutes can hold out, not covering election fraud issues.

hi Brad -
Welcome home! WP's posts got me coming back here daily, and IMHO your blog's credibility is (still) infinitely greater than the credibility of the MSM and the Bush admin. At least you guys explore and debate some difficult issues, that (to me at least) is so much more credible than just straight up insulting the people who want to keep asking until a satisfactory answer appears, or completely ignoring them and wishing they'd go away.
Much love and respect to you and Winter Patriot

Now Brad came marching home again,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give him a hearty welcome now
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The men will cheer and the boys will shout
The ladies they will all turn out
And we'll all feel gay,
Now Brad came marching home.
The old church bell will peal with joy
Hurrah! Hurrah!
To welcome home our darling boy
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The village lads and lassies say
With roses they will strew the way,
And we'll all feel gay
Now Brad came marching home.
Get ready for the Jubilee,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give the hero three times three,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The laurel wreath is ready now
To place upon his loyal brow
And we'll all feel gay
Now Brad came marching home.
Welcome Back.

When I first began visiting this noble blog, I seem to recall that election theft was no less of a "left wing conspiracy theory" than "911 inside job" presently continues to be. IMO it's only thanks to the tireless efforts of guys like Brad that guys like Lou Dobbs have woken up to the realities of the electoral mess.
Perry Logan #7 - I visited your linked site - it's apparent from your website that you're an expert in credibility.
Let's see, your argument is that the Bush admin is too incompetent to have pulled off 911. If they're so incompetent, how is it you actually believe they practically had the whole crime solved on the same day it happened? Hmmmmm... Incompetent at preventing but exceedingly competent at solving really fast. Never mind the dancing Israelis, they're not important.
They're such geniuses they didn't even need to look at the evidence; they just disposed of it as quickly as possible... Nope no conspiracy here, that's for sure (in Perry's and J Cannon's and half of America's minds).
Bluebear I know you meant #21 and not #23 - not sure what that guy Al is trying to get at, but maybe it's posts like this one.

Look, whatever we believe, all the "911 conspiracy nuts" want is an open and honest investigation, is that so crazy? If the administration has nothing to hide, why have they gone to great lengths to hide everything?
If you don't know what I'm talking about, I urge you to set aside the time and watch "911 Press for Truth". It is not a 'Loose Change'-type conspiracy movie but rather a documentary featuring some widows of 911 victims and their ongoing efforts to find the truth.

I agree, and I ordered that video, to keep with the scrapbook I have kept for my grandchildren so that they never forget.I think to support the families asking these questions is the right thing to do.I will never stop asking, I don't care what I'm called.Dr. Bowman will be coming to our area at the end of this month, and the film "Loose Change" will be shown as a fund raiser for the Democrats. The strange thing is, he is already being smeared in the Miami Herald.Miami is about a hundred miles south from us, what does anyone down there care what film we will watch? What are they afraid of, the truth?

Welcome back, Brad. I would like to say that your posting about the Princeton Study, particularly in regard to the background is very good and very useful. It's just the kind of thing those of us who are trying to get through to people on the local level need. A report on a big, important study in the very readable (and linked) context of what has been happening.
Great work, Brad.

Huh? What are you talking about? And why are you so intent on informing everyone how un-"gay" you are? I really think nobody cares. I think you are getting Brad mixed up with James Guckert/Jeff Gannon, you know, that male prostitute that went to the white house mysteriously about a zillion times, not signing out many of those times. You know, the one that was easily able to obtain a press pass with absolutely no experience or qualifications whatsoever. You must be thinking of that guys website.

Your link about the Judge turning down the request to ban electronic voting machines in Kern County ends with the following:
"McPherson also hailed the court ruling.
“This is a victory for the voters of California and a testament to the strictest-in-the-nation voting system certification process that I have established,” he said."
"that I have established"???????
Gee - didn't he certify Diebold late on a Friday afternoon after his research showed it had well over 20 some major security flaws?

Chris Hooten and davek:
I'm being sarcastic. Newsweek did have a front page article of the same name about two of three weeks before the 2004 election, but, as far as I know, no other stories in the year of 2004 or eveb 2003.
Newsweek has no intention of being the first national outlet to cast doubt on the election in any time frame that would make any action possible. Frankley I'm livid at them for not doing something!
