There seems to be a new vendor on the block. Precise Voting is still at least a month away from ITA testing and federal qualification of their DRE voting system. What is amazing is that, according to their website, a vvpat printer is part of their system and the printer actually cuts each vvpat off and puts it into a ballot box. Amazingly this system also has a binary switch that allows ‘sip-n-puff’ and other technology to make their system actually accessible for voters with disabilities. What’s wrong with Diebold, Sequoia, and ES&S? Are they really “technicallogically challenged”? / It now appears that the Arkansas legislature may step-in and investigate what went wrong with ES&S in the state primary and what legislation needs to be written to protect the voters from this vendors questionable service….

Do you have a link to the “
Precise Voting” website? That is a hopeful event … yet … I think most will have had enough of the election machine age … what a joke … at least until we use paper ballots and hand counts for a few years.
Make them prove themselves before we accept them!
Billions of our tax dollars wasted just to screw us and line the pockets of incompetent companies.
We are so sick of this travesty.
Dredd,

We are now finding out that this company may have been started by Congressman Rush Holt’s (HR-550 writer) ex-press secretary.
The machines seem to have been designed to do everything that we would want them to do but I am taking a wait and see stance until I know a lot more.
Thanks John.
I just wrote my ISP a letter. It may apply to the electronic voting debacle, in that, anytime a modem is used it goes thru a phone company’s lines.
By all accounts these lines are piped thru the NSA computers. So, even voting data is exposed by those who say “trust us”. It is a faith based system.
The letter said:
It was inspired by this week’s article by John Dean. In it he said something you as a watcher would appreciate: “We are sliding down the slippery slope” (link here).
