‘Daily Voting News’ For April 28, 2006

Share article:

Today is successes and failures. New York activists are generally pleased with the new voting machine policy adopted for the state. Meanwhile a judge in Allegheny County has found in favor of the county and will allow them to go forward with the use of the ES&S voting machines. Ireland has finally declared the Liberty voting machines they have as being a “dead duck”. Time for us to go buy them cheap and begin using them. They can’t be much worse than iVotronics, TSx, etc. Legal complaints have been filed against ES&S today, in Indiana and West Virginia. And, no surprise, MicroVote was certified for use in Indiana….

      The bad news:
–the e-machines cannot be trusted to record our vote accurately.

      The good news:
–it doesn’t matter who gets elected.
( They’re going to screw us anyway).

I was listening to a Dublin radio talk show on the internet and they were discussing voting machines. I had not heard all the details, but they were debating dumping them for some reason – e.g. selling them to the U.S. If the Irish don’t want these machines, why should we buy them? Cheap or not?

Curious, the machines in question are made by NEDAP and sold as Liberty Voting Systems. These exact same machines have been marketed in New York and New Jersey and other east coast states. The only difference between the machines is the designation number.

Those who will make the decisions have been impressed with the Liberty machines, for some reason. Liberty is not telling them, of course, that the machines were found to be insecure in Ireland and have never been used. Go figure.
